Pittsburgh bridge collapses on day Biden to visit city to talk infrastructure
msn ^

No injuries were immediately reported, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety, which reported a “confirmed bridge collapse” at around 6:50 a.m. A photo from KDKA shows at least four vehicles, including a Port Authority bus, on the bridge near Forbes and Braddock avenues, which splits the Point Breeze, Regent Square and Squirrel Hill neighborhoods of Pittsburgh. Another vehicle is shown dangling near the edge of the collapsed bridge.

Police, fire and EMS personnel are responding to the collapse.

Public Safety said there was “a strong smell of natural gas in the area.” Nearby homes are being evacuated due to the gas smell, according to KDKA.

“Please avoid if at all possible,” the agency tweeted.

The collapse comes the same day that Biden is visiting Pittsburgh to discuss infrastructure. As part of his trip, the president will visit the research and development hub of Mill 19, which was part of the infrastructure deal passed by Congress last year.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment early Friday.

How could this possibly have happened?
The Freeperati are on the case!
To: bryan999

This is not an accident. Biden needs to prove why he’s spent trillions of dollars.

This is not an accident.Maybe it was a “false flaw” event?

Why of course!

All Uncle Joe had to do was get all the police, the Pittsburgh Public Safety Department, all the news media, and the people in the vehicles stuck on the bridge in on the plot.

Dirty cop Wray probably sent an FBI explosives team to blow the supports right on Q. Did a CNN camera truck just happen to be about to cross??

(sorry I forgot to include the FBI)

Bet the inspection history on the bridge will be read closely by lawyers and forensic engineers. /sI bet that both the inspection history and the recent sales records of plastic explosives in the area were inadvertently erased on a hard disk!

Yes, folks – they really ARE that stupid.
To: bryan999

I wonder if the Biden syndicate brought down the bridge to get his bill passed.

I use to have to drive through the squirrel hill tunnel to get home. It was always backed up and if it was rush one was in for a long wait. I can’t imagine how bad it will be now.

I know. I used to work in Oakland, and sometimes would go home across that bridge. If I was stuck at the light on that bridge, sometimes I’d actually be worried about how much bouncing was happening…and that was 15 years ago.

To: right way right
Yep, and I’m guilty of that, but what can we do? Riot and get arrested? The problem is the Republican party does nothing. How it was suppose to work in the 2 party system is one party keeps the other in check, but when one party does nothing, the other runs amok and that’s exactly what is going on here. It just gets worse and worse, it’s like the Nobles in the movie Braveheart when Wallace gives the signal to attack they just sit there and do nothing because they were bribed and Wallace ends up getting eviscerated and beheaded.

If they do take DT away it’s his own fault for turning the keys over to these mutts. I should feel sorry for him but he since he left us to fend for ourselves, so should he.

I could see them arresting Trump even though they know it will go nowhere.
Oh it will go somewhere alright. Just not where they think it will. If they go down that road, Jan 6th will look like a walk in the park.

I would surmise indictment is coming likely within the next three months but it won’t be over the January 6th situation (though it’s likely with McEnany, Stephanie what’s her face, Pence’s key advisors and maybe Pence himself all flipping) it will be most likely it will be the case in Georgia, I mean on that when they have the freaking phone recording itself.

Hey – maybe it was a Trump impersonator?
And lastly, it’s “Third Party on, Garth!”

Why Trump may choose to run third-party in 2024 The hill ^ | 01/29/2022 | DOUGLAS MACKINNON Posted on 1/29/2022, 12:03:47 PM by ChicagoConservative27

During the 1992 election, Texas billionaire Ross Perot managed to get on the ballot as an independent presidential candidate in all 50 states and garnered 19 percent of the vote. It was a remarkable feat that — in the eyes of some Republicans, including President George H.W. Bush and his son, George W. Bush — tipped the election to Arkansas Gov. Bill Clinton.

Keep in mind, that percentage of voters chose the third-party candidate even after it was reported that Perot, who loved conspiracies, claimed he saw five men with rifles on his front lawn and, later, that the Bush campaign tried to ruin his daughter’s wedding. Had he not made such outlandish claims, his percentage of the electorate might have been much higher.

Why are they bringing up 1992 with Bush and Perot?? I don’t think 2024 is going to be like that.

That would be a stupid move and guarantee a democrat(sic) victory.

And :
To: ChicagoConservative27

If Trump were start a new party — let’s call it the Pariot Party — that party would pick up more than half of Republicans, a bit less than half of Democrats, and about half of Independents. It would become the new majority party overnight.

11 posted on 1/29/2022, 12:12:56 PM by Publius

Of course it would.

To: Publius

I’ve been saying that exact same thing.

And I think your numbers are extremely conservative.

Who would stay in the GOP if Trump created a new party? I think it would be more like 80% that went with him, And a good deal of Democrats maybe close to 50%.

1. Complete speculation. There are no facts to suggest that the thesis might come true.
2. Ann Coulter should STFU. Her comments help absolutely no one.
3. Much as I love Trump, I agree with the author that we need a fighter like Trump without the rough edges and baggage. With those we start with two many people who simply will not vote for our candidate. We also need someone younger who can serve two terms

Does Chris Christie have an alibi??? The guy has a history of bridge mishaps, y’know.

Public Safety said there was “a strong smell of natural gas in the area.”

Okay, so much for the alibi.
