Ted Cruz flew to Cancun with his family amid power crisis in Texas

Fox News ^ | 2/18/21 | Tyler Olsen

Sen. Ted Cruz flew to Cancun, Mexico, with his family this week as Texas dealt with a winter storm that left millions without power, Fox News has confirmed.

It’s the Daily Mail, so, they would find fault with anything Cruz or any republican does.

Trips to Cancun aren’t done on the spur of the moment – I’d assume his wife and kids have been planning and anticipating this trip for a while now. Probably wouldn’t have been easy to cancel at the last minute due to freak weather conditions, but I agree – it’s a bad look.

There’s this thing called “trip insurance” – perhaps you’ve heard of it?

Only illegals are allowed to flee to another country.

Lol. Like Cruz is responsible for the Texas energy policy. It’s a state function.

And who cares. I’d do it too if I could.

Jealous losers.

In other news, Biden pushes gun control and the unemployment rate is on the rise due to leftist policies, but by all means worry about where and when the Cruz family takes a vacation. /spit.

To: JonPreston

Maybe the author of this article should bring his Hot Air to Texas and generate some energy to warm some houses. Cruz isn’t even in Texas and airports here were closed until yesterday. People know you can work in DC or Cancun and still do your job, right? BS story and post.

Woodward book breaks 93-year publishing record
The Hill ^ | September 13, 2018 | Joe Concha

Posted on 9/13/2018, 2:09:31 PM by EveningStar

Bob Woodward’s new book, “Fear: Trump in the White House,” sold more than 750,000 copies through its first day of release, the most for any title in Simon & Schuster history, according to the 94-year-old publisher.

The investigative book by the veteran Watergate reporter, who has written books about every administration dating back to President Nixon, was powered by excerpts published before the book’s public release Tuesday and President Trump’s public rejection of it. Trump called the book “a con on the public” consisting of quotes that are “made up frauds” designed to boost Democrats ahead of the 2018 midterm elections.

Of course he did.

Didn’t the media tell us Hillary was going to win the election, or that Trump colluded with Russia? WHY SHOULD WE BELIEVE THEM WHEN THEY LIE TO US ABOUT LEFTY BOOK SALES?

#2: “Unless George Soros bought them all.”

Yes, in a way. These books were bought by PACs, think tanks, etc. They will be handed out as freebies and swag at their “events”.

Anyone who has the slightest familiarity with publishing knows that these purchases were not driven by individual sales. Even the lib reviewers say the prose is stiff and wooden, dull, and almost unreadable.

It’s believable. Subscriptions and sales are off the hook in all categories for the left and trashing President Trump whether we like it or not. The left is a self sustaining entity and nothing the right says or does penetrates it. Hell..the President spends half his time responding to their garbage.

CNN, MSNBC, and all the news broadcasts on the alphabet channels are getting dismal ratings yet Woodward’s book sales are going through the roof? The leftist intellectuals read but not their electorate. Looks like mass buying to me. You’ll see copies of the book in Democrat headquarters and precinct offices around the country, and in the Dollar Tree and 99 Cent stores in time for Christmas!

12 posted on 9/13/2018, 2:27:20 PM by dowcaet

I thought that 99 cent thing was supposed to happen by this week?
To: dowcaet

CNN and MSNBC combined beat FOX by at least a million every single night. Maddow regularly beats or ties Hannity. New York Times and Washington Post subscriptions are way up.  Those are facts.  FOX is a tiny bubble and half of the (FOX) content is anti-Trump drivel.

All right, people – let's get back to it. Blowers on – airlock door open – stupid scrubbers on high – here we go!

You know, Terrible Ted Cruz is from my state (althought not my district), and I never get used to his inanity. I mean, every phrase that oozes from his pandering mouth just reeks of idiocy. I keep wondering when that stupidity (if it's not feigned) is going to splatter all over his master plan to march to retake the Sudetenland of Texas politics.

Sen. Ted Cruz Announces He Will Be Joining Glenn Beck at the Border This Weekend
The Blaze ^ | 07/18/2014 | Erica Ritz

Posted on ‎7‎/‎18‎/‎2014‎ ‎9‎:‎34‎:‎13‎ ‎PM by SeekAndFind

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz confirmed Thursday that he will be joining Glenn Beck and Mercury One at the border in McAllen, Texas, on Saturday to feed, clothe, and provide toys for illegal immigrant children.

Catherine Frazier, a spokeswoman for the senator, told TheBlaze in an email: “Tens of thousands of children are being smuggled into the United States by dangerous drug cartels and transnational gangs – it is heartless to allow that to continue.”

“But while we work to reverse the policies that have caused this tragedy, it is important we recognize the human element of this crisis, and Sen. Cruz is glad to join Glenn Beck and Mercury One in that effort to provide some relief from the suffering this administration is causing,” Frazier continued.

Feeding these people is the same as encouraging the actions. Cruz and Beck are both doing it for show and I think it’s a huge mistake for them.

Here you go partner. Please pay special attention to the last sentence in the first paragraph. Ted Cruz is okay with letting illegals stay permanently (and presumably work cheap and take American jobs. Did I mention his wife is a vice president at Goldman Sachs). He just doesn't want citizenship. I just want them gone. How about you? (please read the entire article. It ain't long)

…and, by the way, Cruz and Becks efforts will encourage more kids to come and more will die along the way. All these people are sick.

That's my guess too. My God, some of the people on this thread are unbelievable. You DO realize the Libs spend about half their day demonizing conservatives as mean and uncaring, don't you?

That's a dirty lie. I seldom spend more than three hours a week.

The occasional charitable act by a conservative isn't going to hurt anything, and it may take some of the wind out of the Libs' sails for awhile.  amuse liberals mightily.

FIFY

Aside from the obvious trolls, those posters who seek nothing less than absolute, complete, toe-the-line doctrinaire conservatism every second of the day from the already-outnumbered people on our side have become incredibly tiresome. They're the kind of people who get people like Obama elected.

To: leapfrog0202

And oh yeah, if Cruz is dead to FReepers as POTUS candidate because of what he’s doing with Beck, what about the other conservative, Mike Lee?

It just so happened that Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) dropped out of the trip with Beck, saying a scheduling conflict prevented him from attending.

Does this mean he could have joined Cruz and Beck if he had no scheduling conflict?
