I have to ask this very seriously, do you know that this site has
been completely unusable to perhaps thousands and thousands of others
during either the first Presidential or Vice-Presidential debate and for
an hour or so after their respective conclusions?

This has never
happened in previous election cycles during debates, election night
results or during large breaking news events. Slow? Yes. Unusable, no.

I’ve
had multiple tabs opened for the debates this year and the FR one just
wheel spin, wheel spin, wheel spin… blank page, no progress bar moving
on the address bar. It’s just the internet equivalent of dead air for
hours.

If you’re getting this during a VP debate I fully expect this site to be dead and inaccessible from 6PM-4AM election night.

Update us would you? What’s going on?

dynamically…I do this all the time for customers who have much bigger
problems…

one has called me and said, ‘Todd, I think you should drop out,'” Akin

Akin will do just fine. He has been around awhile and does not have a lot of dirt or garbage that can be thrown at him. I liked him the best of the three candidates. He is a good choice to take on Claire. I would have been happy to vote for either of the other two as well. It was refreshing to have some decent choices for once.

Goodness, he’s got that right. Our country cannot afford four more years of Barack Obama’s fundamentally flawed vision. We must now look to this new team, the Romney/Ryan ticket, to provide an alternate vision of an America that is fiscally responsible, strong, and prosperous – an America that understands and is proud of her exceptional place in the world and will respect those who fight to secure that exceptionalism, which includes keeping our promises to our veterans.

Then she marched to the microphone and demanded the nomination while the audience erupted into rapturous cheers and applause.

However, like all good daydreams, I am eventually forced to come back to reality and realize that Sarah Palin will not be coming through those convention doors later this month – unless as a correspondent for FoxNews.

Seriously, I had daydreams of Sarah Palin bursting out of a giant cake on the stage of the RNC in a leotard and doing a baton routine while a jazz band played, bringing the crowd to their feet. Then she marched to the microphone and demanded the nomination while the audience erupted into rapturous cheers and applause.

However, like all good daydreams, I am eventually forced to come back to reality and realize that Sarah Palin will not be coming through those convention doors later this month – unless as a correspondent for FoxNews.

Sarah did just endorse the selection of Paul Ryan as VP and I’ll have to take some solace there.

Christie has jumped the shark. He is exactly the type of pseudo-conservative that does more harm than good. The Obama administration said Monday it is suspending existing agreements with Arizona police over enforcement of federal immigration laws, and said it has issued a directive telling federal authorities to decline many of the calls reporting illegal immigrants that the Homeland Security Department may get from Arizona police.

Administration officials, speaking on condition they not be named, told reporters they expect to see an increase in the number of calls they get from Arizona police — but that won’t change President Obama’s decision to limit whom the government actually tries to detain and deport.

“We will not be issuing detainers on individuals unless they clearly meet our defined priorities,” one official said in a telephone briefing.

The official said that despite the increased number of calls, which presumably means more illegal immigrants being reported, the Homeland Security Department is unlikely to detain a significantly higher number of people and won’t be boosting personnel to handle the new calls.

Lets just say getting fired from my first radio job back when I was 18 years old was a more pleasant conversation. He yelled at me. Insulted me. I couldn’t understand some of what he said. He never answered my question. He called me “Mr Young Conservative”. Told me that I was banned and to never come back and then screamed good bye !

Once JR realized Saint Sarah bowed out of running, after she took fools like him on a merry ride, he picks statist New World Order Newt as worthy of dropping all those so called principles he claims he had for.

Why? Cause Sarah voted for Newt.

If conservatives on his websire thought he had gone batshit crazy, they were right. He should have gotten behind the only one left that shared his socon beliefs and helped push him over the finish line against Romney.

But he didn’t. The voters did not want New World Order Newt in spite of the love affair he and his harpychicks tried to foment. You see, it wasn’t JR and his chicks that were wrong, it was all the voters in all the states except GA and SC.

When I had to stay in a nursing home for awhile there were a few older people who were mean and critical of others for no reason what so ever. The nurse had to warn me about it the first day and I just tried to stay away from them !

If Democratic voters were rapidly increasing in number and Republican voters rapidly decreasing, it should be pretty big news, shouldn’t it?

Not when at issue is a third rail of American social commentary: race.

Recently I wrote a piece on race and voting patterns, using as a lede the story about how white births now account for less than 50 percent of the U.S. total for the first time in history. And while most respondents agreed with my analysis, some reacted predictably: Uncomfortable even hearing about race and/or frightened by what lies ahead, they rationalized away obvious facts.

And here is one: You cannot understand where our nation is headed ideologically without grasping the link between racial identification and voting patterns — and demographic changes that will yield Democratic hegemony.

On Face the Nation on Sunday, Mitt Romney said that if elected president he wouldn’t have to get congressional permission for a military strike on Iran.

To quote him directly (emphasis added):

I can assure you if I’m president, the Iranians will have no question but that I will be willing to take military action if necessary to prevent them from becoming a nuclear threat to the world. I don’t believe at this stage, therefore, if I’m president that we need to have a war powers approval or special authorization for military force. The president has that capacity now. I understand that some in the Senate for instance have written letters to the president indicating you should know that a containment strategy is unacceptable. We cannot survive a course of action which would include a nuclear Iran we must be willing to take any and all actions.

All those actions must be on the table.

Well, we all know that arguing with idiots doesn’t work on the basis of our experiences with our neighbors and co-workers.

Having said that; if we start up another war in the Middle East, we may very well run out of soldiers and armament.

I say let those people over there argue over whose god is the real god and which zombies and prophets are right about the universe until they wipe each other out.

I personally would not care if the entire Middle East was reduced to a sea of glass with no inhabitants.

Oh great. Now we have our own candidate to be king.

Now some folks can run him on the ‘My king is better than your king” platform.

Armour and chain mail will be handed out at the jousting tournaments this fall.

Maybe we could cooperate with the other side to make sure their two armors are oppositely charged. The first time they make a pass, they’ll merge into one big glob of king juice and we can start over.
