Today on Tommy T’s Obsession with the Freeperati – Beck-ola Edition

Good Monday morning, everyone!

In dishonour of The New Messiah Beck, let’s open up some big drums of Freeper drool and see how he’s doing on that bastion of People Who Want Their Country Back (patent applied for) on the eve of his self-styled religious pilgrimage.

Of course, one could only hope that Godis listening, and a miracle *does* occur – and
every white person there – turns black.

First up –The Bloom is off the Beck for Red State Trike Force!‏

I am Done With Glenn Beck! He is now boring, idiotic, and not conservative.

Posted onMonday, August 23, 2010 10:52:45 AM bybig black dog

When Glenn Beck came to Fox News his show was brilliant and a can’t
miss program that was interesting, creative, and a real threat to Obama
and the Liberals. During the past year and half is show has steadily
declined since it began and has now become completely unwatchable. For
his first 6 months I never missed a episode and now I could care less
about Beck.

Well, obviously, his appeal is becoming more selective.

There are many reasons I lost interest in Beck and no longer
watch and listen to him.

Glenn Beck is not a conservative and
both his TV show and radio show have become annoying. Beck has devolved
into nothing more than a fickle Paultard that is both condesending and
patronizing. Glenn Beck is not a conservative and not really for the
advancement of conservatism. Beck has bought into the Ron Paul agenda
hook line and sinker. My take is that Beck has run out of stuff to stay
and is now boring and idiotic. He is not advancing the Conservative
agenda

He can’t even decide whether to capitalize the word “conservative”.

and is pretty much promoting the Paultard agenda that seeks to
undermine real a real conservative agenda. Plus his annoying theme song
on the radio is awful
and really annoying just like Beck.

p align=”center” class=”asset asset-video” style=”display: block; margin: 0pt auto;”>

Glenn
Beck is a huckster and with nothing of value to say that has not already
been said by smarter people that are not fickle Paultards. Beck puts
out a crappy book every few months and has his one man shows and comedy
tour and even goes on tour with Ted Baxter, himself O’Reilly.

And you’re just now noticing all of this?

Glenn Beck
has lost and I contend does not really believe in anything. His CPAC
routine was terrible and it may have been the point where I began to see
him for what he is and stated liking him less.

The Ron Paul/
Judge Napolitano brand of libertarianism is not conservative and in fact
undermines Conservatives. Ron Paul at the 2008 Republican Debate seemed
like a darn infiltrator and Beck now seems like a darn fool and a
boring one at that. Libertarians are under-miners and not on the side
conservatives. Beck is a flake that is for sure and both he and his
shows are tiresome. Glenn Beck seems to lack the bite and credibility he
once had. The Friday show is a complete waste . I am tired of history
lessons from a guy that did not even go to college and uses a chalkboard
in 2010. The act is idiotic, boring, and repetitive. I think we can
safely say Glenn Beck is no Rush Limbaugh, he is not even Sean Hannity.

I have a five minute car commute every morning now (I used to
walk to work). It is the first time I’ve listened to Beck since I
discovered some of his Youtube videos which I thought were great.

On the radio he seems to mostly just fill time. Maybe my exposure to the “gems” on youtube caused me to expect more.

I listened for a week or two but now I just listen to a song or two on my way to work.

Beck is a little too apocalyptic for my tastes … and he
steadfastly refuses to acknowledge any reason for optimism. He’s also
more activist than radio/tv host at this point — so spends a lot of time
promoting his activism (and working people into a frenzy so they’ll
participate).

Beck. The one I listened to this morning was jinoistic on the Mosque

Effective Immediately, Tea Party Express Is No Longer a Member of the
National Tea Party Federation

Date: Sat, 17 Jul 2010 at 3:43pm

Last
night, the members of the National Tea Party Federation participating
in an “All Hands” conference call unanimously decided the following:

The
membership of the National Tea Party Federation has this evening
suspended and will immediately expel Tea Party Express from any further
association with the Federation should they fail to publicly rebuke Mark
Williams and remove him from their ranks by 3 pm eastern time Saturday
July 17.

The rebuke must take the following form:

1. Mark
Williams must be officially removed from the ranks of the Tea Party
Express.

2. Notice of Mark Williams’ removal must be placed
prominently on the official Tea Party Express website.

3. Tea
Party Express must issue a press release articulating points 1 and 2
above.

* * *

Last night, a member of the National Tea
Party Federation communicated our decision directly to a member of the
leadership team of Tea Party Express. That leader’s response was clear:
they have no intention of taking the action we required for their group
to continue as a member of the National Tea Party Federation.

Therefore,
effective immediately the National Tea Party Federation is expelling
Tea Party Express from the ranks of our membership.

Oops.

Wrong script.

Wait a minute – I’ve got it here somewhere…

Ah, yes.

Well, when we last left the Freeperati, old Jim Robinson had hatched an evil plot to blow up the Freepathons with his words inserted into each and every thread. I had to scroll past this dreck with every thread I viewed, so guess what? So do you.

Suits on – air lock door open – here we go!

A Few Good Freepers wanted

Free Republic is currently delivering over 1.2 million pageviews to over
230,000 visitors per day. That’s 40 million pageviews to 7 million
visitors per month or 120 million pageviews per quarter, 480 million
pageviews per year. We currently have over 330,000 registered screen
names on FR.

4/5’s of which are people I banned for supporting Dubya in early 2000, and the remainder of which I banned in 2008 for not supporting Fred Thomson.

Out of these millions of visits, hundreds of millions of
pageviews, hundreds of thousands of registered Freepers

And these yo-yos complain about Democrats keeping people on the voting rolls after they’ve passed away?

Considering the average age of a Freeper seems to be between 50 and 105, and the 2-4“Freeper (name here) has just passed away” threads I see every day, it’s no wonder they’re having trouble keeping the lights on. I don’t know what Jim Rob is spending the money on instead of servers – maybe he’s just shutting them down every few weeks to scare more money out of the yokels?

and hundreds of
thousands of regular lurkers only a relatively FEW actually donate the
funds to keep FR alive.

At last count, fourteen. Because they’re stingy and greedy GOPers by nature. This is what happens when your target demographic is greedheads. Interesting conundrum, innit?

Now I’m not complaining,

I’m just posting this bleg at the top of every single thread. So it’s more like nagging than complaining.

because we’ve always managed to meet our
fundraising goals in the past, butit is taking longer and longer to
accomplish the task.

That would be because your beloved Invisible Hand Of The Free Market nearly brought down the world economy in the spring of 2008 – which is, of course, Obama’s fault.

And part of that may be because it’s mostly the
same few dedicated FReepers providing the funds and along with the rest
of us I’m sure they’re stretched to the limit.

Why, James Von Brunn hasn’t sent us anything in over ayear!

Sure would be nice if a
few more FReepers and lurkers would lend a hand and send in a few bucks.
Doesn’t take much. I think our average donation is around $20, but you
can send in $5, $10, $20, $30 or more and make it a monthly contribution
if you can.

Certainly you guys can cut back on some non-essentials…

CatFoodGOP

A relatively few good FReepers

Oxymoron alert!

is all it takes to keep FR on the air so
that hundreds of thousands of us

I grew up in Waco. That’s close to the population there. If “hundreds of thousands” are your peer group, that makes you a subset of a subset of a subset of crazyville.

can join together in kicking liberal
butt and continue the fight for our freedom!!

Or at least so I won’t have to get a real job. Those government disability checks won’t make my McMansion payment, you know.

For example, 1,500 dedicated FReepers and lurkers donating an average of
$20 each per month is all it takes to continue delivering these
hundreds of millions of propaganda-fighting, pro-liberty pages to tens
of millions of readers every year. How many concerned citizens and
potential voters can we reach for a tiny fraction of a cent per page? FR
delivers a BIG bang for the buck!!

I’d like to thank the gang for the bang.

Thank you for providing the bang AND
the buck!!

Cheetos Cheetos bang bang?

I donated .02 . This will cost them around $0.75 to process and deposit.

Yeah – how could you makethis look bad, anyway?

It all started last year when Fitzpatrick, a retired military man
whose beef with the government goes back two decades when he faced a
court-martial, tried to get a Monroe County grand jury to indict Obama
for treason. The grounds? Obama, Fitzpatrick contended, was not really
born in the U.S.

When the grand jury refused to consider the case, Fitzpatrick began
issuing a series of “complaints,” naming some two dozen federal, state
and local officials, all of whom he accused of misconduct for failing to
arrest, charge or remove the president from office.

He and fellow “birthers” showed up in early April at the Monroe
County Courthouse to begin effecting his own “citizen’s arrests” when,
according to the FBI complaint, he wound up arrested instead on charges
that include inciting a riot.

The FBI alleges Huff, a Dalton, Ga., man who claims membership in a
militia, decided to join Fitzpatrick’s cause and told anyone who would
listen – including FBI agents – that he and fellow militiamen intended
to show up at Fitzpatrick’s April 20 preliminary hearing to seize the
town if necessary to free Fitzpatrick and help him carry out his
citizen’s arrests.

Huff traveled from Georgia to Sweetwater with a gun on his hip, two
more handguns and an AK-47 assault rifle in his truck, the complaint
states. When a state trooper stopped it on traffic violations, Huff, who
had a concealed carry permit, again detailed the plan, Van Balen wrote.

“Huff said he was ready to die for his rights,” the agent wrote.
“Huff (said) that if necessary, they would come back and have a lot more
armed people to take over the courthouse and effect all the arrests.”

When Huff and an estimated 20 others actually showed up at the
courthouse, they were vastly outnumbered by law enforcers from federal,
state and local agencies, the complaint stated. The courthouse had been
effectively shut down, with workers told to stay home, and Fitzpatrick’s
hearing cancelled. Still, the agent wrote, Huff and others prowled the
streets with guns visible.

The FBI, which had been tracking Huff throughout his travels, waited
until Huff described his actions on a talk radio show and then arrested
him on charges of carrying firearms across the state lines with the
intent to incite a riot.Huff is free under terms of house arrest.

You see, he’s under…WHAAAA????

An uninvited California secretary of state candidate interrupted a
Tea Party meeting in Hermosa Beach on Tuesday evening with accusations
that her opponent committed voter fraud.

The meeting of the South
Bay Tea Party was held at the Church of Christ on Aviation Boulevard.

The
candidate, Orly Taitz, claimed that her opponent, Republican Damon
Dunn, was ineligible to run because he had tried to alter his voting
record.South Bay Tea Party leader Gary Aven asked Taitz to leave, but
she refused.

Dr. Orly has put her life’s blood into this fight. SHE HAS MADE
DEFENDING THE CONSTITUTION AND THE AMERICAN WAY OF LIFE A PERSONAL
AMBITION, IN THE ABSENCE OF ANY CONSTITUTION LEADERSHIP FROM COWARDLY
REPUBLICANS AND THE SCOTUS.

She’s busy setting up her own shadow government, with no taxes, and no brown people allowed.

Plus, she’ll only vote for candidates who will roll back the SCOTUS-backed violations of the constitution, like that nasty Nineteenth Amendment.

Dr. Orly is the ONLY one out there in the trenches EVERY day hitting
Obama on multiple fronts and trying to bring him down. It is reported
that she is more than $8,000 in debt from using her own funds for
expenses in her flights across the U.S for interviews, speeches, serving
papers and meeting with officials.

Does that count the sanctions?

She is exhausted. She is nervous. She is frustrated. It is reported that
she gets by on 4-5 hours of sleep per night, and her family is very
worried about her health- as well as her safety.
She makes mistakes. But she will NOT give up. She will keep on until she
gets it right.

So let’s get behind this great little Russian refugee and great
American patriot.

Stop tearing her apart. The Obots don’t need our help.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin placed a phone call to Sen.-elect
Scott Brown Tuesday night to congratulate the Republican on his upset
victory in Massachusetts’s special Senate election.

“Governor
Palin spoke with a very happy Senator-elect Brown this evening and
congratulated him on his most historic victory for not only
Massachusetts but the nation,” Palin spokeswoman Meg Stapleton told
POLITICO.

In an appearance on Fox News after The Associated Press
called the election for Brown, Palin hailed the Republican’s win as “a
step for taking our country back.”

(…)

Asked by Van Susteren to explain why she did not
formally endorse Brown before the election, Palin praised Brown’s
campaign for relying on “shoe-leather” campaigning instead of national
surrogates.

“I would have” endorsed him, she said, “if he had
requested it.”

In a posting on her Facebook page, Palin added:
“Americans cheered for Scott Brown’s underdog campaign because they
viewed his candidacy as a vote against the Democrats’ health care bill.
You know that there’s something wrong with this legislation when
opposition to it inspired a Republican victory in a state that currently
has no Republicans in Congress and last sent a Republican to the Senate
nearly 40 years ago.”

Scott
Brown switches vote to advance financial regulation overhaul

Boston Globe ^

byAlanD

Senator Scott Brown switched a key vote from yesterday and joined 57
Democrats and two Republicans this afternoon in advancing a massive
financial regulation overhaul.

The Massachusetts Republican said
that over the last 24 hours he received assurances – from the chief
negotiators in the House and Senate, Senator Christopher J. Dodd, and
Representative Barney Frank — that changes he was seeking would be
addressed. Those assurances came during a phone call with Frank last
night, while the Newton Democrat was working out in the House members
gym. Brown was further convinced during a 40-mile bike ride he went on
this morning with Senator John Kerry.

“We recognize that there’s
going to be some fixes here, more than likely, and the conference
committee,” Brown said after voting. “I’m satisfied that all of our
efforts – Senator Kerry and my efforts – will benefit and protect jobs
in Massachusetts.”

“I spoke at length over a 40 mile bike-ride
with Senator Kerry about it,” Brown added. “He’s a very good athlete.”

This might help Scott Brown be re-elected in Massachusetts, but will
hurt any chance of his being on the national ticket. On the other hand,
maybe a conservative would tap him as a VP in 2012 or 2016, to balance
the ticket.
