Today on Tommy T’s Obsession with the Freeperati – procrastinator’s edition

p>Good morning, everyone!

This edition of Obsession is being written at 4:30AM CST with very little planning of structure – a First Draft, if you will.

And even if you won’t.

Why? Because I was a lazy procrastinating jerk, that’s why. Ok – we’re just going to grab random saved threads and throw them against the walls of the iso chamber and see what sticks.

Effective Immediately, Tea Party Express Is No Longer a Member of the
National Tea Party Federation

Date: Sat, 17 Jul 2010 at 3:43pm

night, the members of the National Tea Party Federation participating
in an “All Hands” conference call unanimously decided the following:

membership of the National Tea Party Federation has this evening
suspended and will immediately expel Tea Party Express from any further
association with the Federation should they fail to publicly rebuke Mark
Williams and remove him from their ranks by 3 pm eastern time Saturday
July 17.

The rebuke must take the following form:

1. Mark
Williams must be officially removed from the ranks of the Tea Party

2. Notice of Mark Williams’ removal must be placed
prominently on the official Tea Party Express website.

3. Tea
Party Express must issue a press release articulating points 1 and 2

* * *

Last night, a member of the National Tea
Party Federation communicated our decision directly to a member of the
leadership team of Tea Party Express. That leader’s response was clear:
they have no intention of taking the action we required for their group
to continue as a member of the National Tea Party Federation.

effective immediately the National Tea Party Federation is expelling
Tea Party Express from the ranks of our membership.

Actually, you could have stopped after “I have no idea”.

To: Sasquatch the Original

I have no idea about this either. IMHO the Tea Party is a close
knit group of independent voters with like goals. There is no main
organization per say(sic).

I don’t like it from the little I know about the incident. It looks
like a successful tactic to divide Tea Party People,

So this was the tactic of the Tea Party people? I swear to Bog, if one of these crazies shot the other one in a public place for the contents of his wallet, these idiots would claim that the Dems planted the cash to tempt him.

or at least make it
look like the people who attend Tea Parties and the Tea Party express

I’ve been to both types of
events and both have mostly the same people there.

The left will
feed off this.

Palin and Levi Johnston Reveal Secret Engagement

Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston Reveal Secret Engagement

kept on-again relationship secret from Sarah Palin

Bristol Palin
was worried about how she was going to tell her mother that she’s
engaged to marry Levi Johnston, the father of her 18-month-old son. She
solved the problem by telling a tabloid magazine. “We got engaged two
weeks ago. It felt right, even though we don’t have the approval of our
parents,” Palin told Us Weekly magazine in a bombshell story published

The magazine cover features a photo of a smiling
Bristol and Levi with their son, Tripp. Inside, Bristol admits that she
and Johnston had not told her parents, Sarah and Todd Palin, about the
engagement. “It is intimidating and scary just to think about what her
reaction is going to be. Hopefully she will jump on board,” Bristol told
the magazine. “I want her to know Levi has grown up and that he is
going to be there as a dad.” ‘Redemption and forgiveness’ In a statement
to NBC News, the Palins said, “Bristol at 19 is now a young adult. We
obviously want what’s best for our children. Bristol believes in
redemption and forgiveness to a degree most of us struggle to put in
practice in our daily lives.” No wedding date has been set, but Caroline
Schaefer, Us Weekly’s executive editor, told TODAY’s Matt Lauer
Wednesday morning that the reunited young couple would like to do it
quickly — possibly in the next month. Until marriage, Schaefer said, the
couple are living separately and practicing abstinence. Bristol Palin,
who has moved out of her parents’ house, is a spokeswoman for an
abstinence-only program.

I’m all for reconciliation, but this is creepy.

I don’t see a good outcome for Bristol or Sarah in this. This guy is a
grotesque man with no manners or civility.

Sounds like a pretty good fit to me.

He’s likely only doing this to get more information on Sarah for his
liberal press buddies. They are now seeing Sarah as a serious
presidential contender.

It may cause Sarah some pause on her aspirations. Bristol is a
freaking idiot.

If Governor Palin had any ambition for higher office, this
announcement should soften her chances nicely.

It creeps me out.

NEW YORK (AP) — An upcoming New York City auction will feature the
belongings of movie cowboy Roy Rogers – including the preserved remains
of his famous horse, Trigger.

Christie’s in Manhattan held a
preview Friday for next week’s auction. The items are from the
now-closed Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Museum in Branson, Mo.

Too bad this stuff is offered for sale.

I stopped by the museum

A lotless complicated.

To: Free ThinkerNY

This is heartbreaking. For a time, Roy Rogers was a hero to a
generation (or two) of children. I suppose this liquidation would be
inevitable with an estate that includes so many children, but one would
think that the museum items would have been protected from this type of

His memorabilia truly belongs in the Smithsonian. Archie Bunker’s
chair is there, so the beloved Trigger should be there, too.

They could put him in Archie Bunker’s chair!!

Um – Roy Rogers was a TV personality.

and this is a tragedy that most of
the items will not be preserved as such.
