Today’s decision increases the H-2B cap by “only” 30,000, rather than the full 67,000 Congress authorized, but this surge nonetheless increases the cap to 96,000. Not even under President Obama did H-2B visas rise to such high levels….President Trump continues to increase the number of H-2B guestworkers every time he has the opportunity. This is entirely his own administration’s fault. He could, at any time, direct Secretary Nielsen to not increase the cap.

H1B is for techs and is a far more concerning program, given that they’ve completely nuked the wage scale in what is arguably our single most important industry today, and flooded it with foreigners who have no loyalty to the USA.

Comello waived his extradition rights Monday during a hearing in Ocean County Superior Court before Judge Wendel Daniels. He is expected to appear in court in Staten Island next Monday, March 25.

“He willingly, knowingly and voluntarily returns to New York to face these charges,” Brian Neary, a New Jersey attorney representing Comello Monday, told reporters after the hearing. He described Comello, who said only “yes, sir” during the hearing, as “resolute.”

In the courtroom, Comello held his open handcuffed palm up to reporters, showing a symbol and several words scrawled in pen. “MAGA forever” and “united we stand” were some of the phrases he had printed, while others were not entirely legible.

A Coast Guard lieutenant assigned to the service’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., has been arrested on drug and gun possession charges, and is accused of plans to “murder innocent civilians on a scale rarely seen in this country,” according to documents filed in Maryland District Court.

Lt. Christopher Paul Hasson, an acquisitions officer for the National Security Cutter Acquisition Program, was arrested Feb. 15 and charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition by an unlawful user or addict of controlled substances, and possession of Tramadol, a Schedule IV pain medication.

A motion for detention pending trial, filed by U.S. Attorney Robert K. Hur, paints a much more menacing portrait of Hasson’s crimes and planned crimes.

“The current charges, however, are the proverbial tip of the iceberg,” Hur wrote. “The defendant is a domestic terrorist, bent on committing acts dangerous to human life that are intended to affect government conduct.”

Hur cited a draft email written by Hasson in June 2017 in which he said he was “dreaming of a way to kill almost every last person on the earth” using a “Spanish flu, botulism, anthrax” or some other mass toxin.

Another draft letter to a “known American neo-Nazi leader” identified Hasson as a white nationalist looking for an opportunity for “a little focused violence” to establish racial supremacy.

When Hasson was arrested in Silver Spring, Maryland, earlier this month, the document states, law enforcement agents found 15 firearms, including shotguns, rifles and handguns, and “conservatively, over 1,000 rounds of mixed ammunition.”

A list of potential targets allegedly compiled by Hasson in January included “prominent Democratic congressional leaders, activists, political organizations, and MSNBC and CNN media personalities” including TV host Chris Hayes; House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California; Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Virginia; Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-New York; and many others.

Fans of Brian Kolfage, the triple-amputee Iraq War veteran behind the border wall effort that started on GoFundMe, can now buy a “Brian Kolfage Collector’s Coin” coin for $49.99.

Kolfage’s crowdfunding campaign turned him into an instant celebrity among supporters of President Donald Trump, who were frustrated as the president’s own efforts to fund the wall struggled to gain traction. But soon after the crowdfunding effort took off, Kolfage came under fire after it was revealed that before his wall campaign, he had run Facebook pages that promoted fake stories and hoaxes and raised money for a veterans’ program that never materialized.

Kolfage insist that his current effort to help collect donations for wall construction is real.

President Donald Trump suggested that he is ready to ditch his Inauguration Day promise of a “Hire American” economic policy — even though thousands of auto workers are being laid off, millions of Americans do not have jobs, and many millions of Americans cannot get better-paying jobs.

The huge policy shift in favor of employers and investors is emerging after Congress blocked his border wall and his border security reforms, and after the GOP-led Congress passed Trump’s tax cut.

“It is fair to say that the President is abandoning his Hire American policy,” said Mark Krikorian, director of the Center for Immigration Studies.

One of the draft visa-worker expansions is dubbed “country caps.” It would remove diversity provisions in immigration law to allow employers to offer citizenship to roughly 100,000 Indian outsourcing workers each year if they agree to cheaply replace the American graduates who are now working in well-paid software, accounting, design, engineering, medicine, and education careers. The panel is expected to draft their plan by February 15.

On Wednesday, Trump reaffirmed the pro-migration statement when he was asked by a reporter “So, you’re changing your policy officially, then? You want more legal immigration?”

Trump answered “I need people coming in because we need people to run the factories and plants and companies that are moving back in. We need people.”

“Our unemployment numbers are so low,” Trump said.

On February 1, the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed the unemployment rate was at 4 percent. But it also showed that 12.5 million Americans are either unemployed or want to get jobs. In the 1960s, roughly 97 percent of men aged 25 to 54 worked — but that percentage dropped to 80 percent in 2009 and was still only at 86.2 percent in December 2018.

I tell my son and his friends that if they plan on going into tech to expect to have a shorter career than other options. It pisses me off but I accept that it’s part of the industry. The youth bias is very difficult to overcome. The H1-B program and available staff offshore definitely makes it easier for employers to dump older tech workers.

Sad. The house has him on the ropes. pelosy’s goal is the election. If Trump doesn’t build, he will lose the election. Also Criminal Hillary is walking around.

He keeps telling us how nice walls are. This speech is repetitious of past speeches. If he doesn’t declare the emergency, he won’t get funding from the house. If he declares, the dems will tie him up in court and in two years the wall will not be built.

I don’t see a path to the wall before the election. Dem mission accomplished. UNLESS he declares and tells the judiciary to stand down as emergencies are not in their purview. But he has acquiesced to the courts for two years.

He has played the national emergency card for 5 weeks. It’s just like his threat to declassify all those documents that are still secret. All talk. Nancy and Chuck won folks, deal with it. If you think Nan and Chuck are going to negotiate on the wall keep drinking the Kool-Aid. They won this time and they will win in 3 weeks, and 6 month and 2 years. It was a nice run, but no republic last forever. In 5 years you won’t even recognize this once great country. There is already a judge ready with a restraining order in hand against using a national emergency declaration to build the wall.

President Trump told House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in a new letter Wednesday that he still plans to deliver next week’s scheduled State of the Union address from the House floor even though Pelosi urged him to delay the speech because of the government shutdown.

The president, in his letter, said there are “no security concerns” surrounding the event, in response to Pelosi raising that as a potential issue because of the partial shutdown.

“I look forward to seeing you on the evening on January 29th in the Chamber of the House of Representatives,” Trump wrote. “It would be so very sad for our country if the State of the Union were not delivered on time, on schedule, and very importantly, on location!”

“As the Shutdown was going on, Nancy Pelosi asked me to give the State of the Union Address,” Trump wrote in a tweet. “I agreed. She then changed her mind because of the Shutdown, suggesting a later date. This is her prerogative – I will do the Address when the Shutdown is over.”

Trump clarified earlier statements suggesting he may do an “alternative” State of the Union, writing that he was not seeking an alternative venue because “there is no venue that can compete with the history, tradition and importance of the House Chamber.”

“I look forward to giving a “great” State of the Union Address in the near future!” he added.

San Antonio does not have a border wall. It is located 157 miles from the U.S.-Mexico border.

There is, of course, a wall around part of the Alamo (8 /10 feet high), but that didn’t really stop any Mexicans from climbing it.

Through 2018, Kanye had a lot of ups and downs in his personal life. The rapper has seemed to have fallen from stardom due to his outspoken personality and random outburst. Because of his actions he has lost the respect of the peers in the world of music. It seems as though his arrogance continues to grow and rubbed people throughout the year. It even went as for to typical Kanye finding ways to piss people off at Cher opening. Most of the animosity has come by way of him being an advocate for Donald Trump within the urban community.

Many people were appalled when news broke that Kanye West arrives at Whitehouse for lunch with Trump. Fellow artist that have accepted Kanye West stunts in the past would not be silent on this particular shenanigan. Artist such as Snoop Dogg, T.I., and former label mate Camron took to social media to air out the Chicago native. Everyone is highly offended by Mr. West rocking the highly controversial “Make America Great Again” hat. Shortly after his wife Kim Kardashian says she educated Kanye after the Trump visit.

Longtime colleague Charlemagne Da God canceled his interview his discussion with Kanye West because of his public outcry for attention. After all of the drama, Yeezy eventually apologized publicly on Twitter for making the wrong stance regarding the world of politics. Even his label Pusha T claimed that Kanye doesn’t wear the MAGNA hat anymore. At the moment it seems as though Kanye is back to supporting Trump again. During his cabinet meeting to kick off the year, the President shouted out Mr. West.

It’s obvious that Ye loves to be the center of attention, as he even called out larger than life rapper Drake on Twitter. He claims that Drizzy took shots at him several times, and he was steamin after Drake followed his wife on Instagram.

Is Kanye really deranged? Or is he trying to stay relevant?

President Donald Trump is clearly not happy with comments from his former Secretary of State.

Rex Tillerson got candid today not just about his time at State, but about the President and how “undisciplined” he is. He also claimed that he had to explain to Trump that various things he proposed were illegal.

Trump clearly heard about the comments, and he fired back with some choice words for the man who once reportedly called him a “moron”:

“Mike Pompeo is doing a great job, I am very proud of him,” Trump tweeted Friday afternoon. “His predecessor, Rex Tillerson, didn’t have the mental capacity needed. He was dumb as a rock and I couldn’t get rid of him fast enough. He was lazy as hell. Now it is a whole new ballgame, great spirit at State!”

The Secret Service has intercepted a suspicious package addressed to former President Obama in Washington, D.C.

The Secret Service said in a statement that the package, and another sent to the home of Bill and Hillary Clinton in New York, were identified as “potential explosive devices and appropriately handled as such.”

The statement said that the Obamas and Clintons did not receive the packages, and were not at risk of receiving them.

The package sent to the Clintons was reported earlier Wednesday and was intercepted late Tuesday night, according to the Secret Service.

“The packages were immediately identified during routine mail screening procedures as potential explosive devices and were appropriately handled as such,” the Secret Service said in a statement. “The protectees did not receive the packages nor were they at risk of receiving them.”

The Secret Service said it had initiated “a full scope criminal investigation that will leverage all available federal, state, and local resources to determine the source of the packages and identify those responsible.”

NBC New York reported that the package sent to the Clintons is similar to the explosive device found at the home of billionaire philanthropist George Soros on Monday.

King Salman ordered for Saud al-Qahtani, an adviser to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to be removed, according to the state-run Ikhbariya television, which was reported by Bloomberg News.

The news came as reports surfaced that the Saudis acknowledged that Khashoggi, a U.S. resident and Washington Post columnist, died after entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul earlier this month.

The Saudi government stated that 18 Saudi nationals have been arrested and are being interrogated in connection with the case, according to a press release translated by The New York Times.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average traded 650 points lower, bringing its two-day losses to more than 1,400 points. The S&P 500 dropped 2.1 percent and was on pace for a six-day losing streak. The broad index also broke below its 200-day moving average for the first time since May. The Nasdaq Composite pulled back 1.5 percent and entered correction territory.

The major indexes fell after some of the major tech names failed to recover from steep losses in the previous session. Netflix fell more than 1.5 percent after briefly trading higher. Apple also declined 0.8 percent, erasing earlier gains.

Tech shares fell more than 4.5 percent on Wednesday, marking their worst day since 2011. The sell-off led to the Dow sinking more than 800 points and the S&P 500 dropping more than 3 percent. It was also the 28th time since 2011 the S&P 500 posted a more than 2 percent decline, according to data from Birinyi Associates.

Stocks tried to rebound earlier in the day after the release of weaker-than-expected inflation data. The U.S. government said the consumer price index rose 0.1 percent in September, well below the expected gain of 0.2 percent.

I agree with his main point, that the Qooks are equivalent to libtards in their illogical, herding, seek and destroy mentality, but apparently the decision has been made (on a financial basis?) to let them not only live, but migrate here, as Q havens continue to get shutdown elsewhere. Since I’m (and many of us) aren’t paying enough in to be involved in those decisons, either you learn to live with them, or you don’t. My guess is Sessions will be fired soon, which will lead to their demise everywhere, but we’re not there yet.

Speaking from the Oval Office Thursday afternoon, President Trump responded to new calls by Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ) to delay a full confirmation vote for Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh until the FBI investigates sexual assault claims from nearly 40 years ago.

“I’m going to let the Senate handle that. They’ll make their decisions. They’ve been doing a good job and very professional. I’m just hearing a little bit about it because I’ve been with the president of Chile and were talking about some very important subjects. I’m sure it will all be very good. I guess the vote was a positive vote but there seems to be a delay. I’ll learn more about it as the day goes on. I just heard about it because we were together,” Trump said. “I’m going to rely on all the people, including Sen. Grassley who is doing a very good job. That is going to be a decision they are going to make and I suspect they’ll be making some decision soon whether to take a vote or do whatever else they want to do. I will be totally reliant on what Sen. Grassley and the group decides to do.

Republican lawmakers have made it clear they have no intention of repealing Obamacare in the current Congress.

Republicans in the nation’s top lawmaking body have never really wanted to get rid of Obamacare. They would prefer to present the program, which David Horowitz correctly describes as “the greatest assault on individual freedom and individual choice in our lifetimes,” as a villain and whip up sentiment against it and run against it every election. They view Obamacare as good for the business of politics. They may chip away at it from time to time or tinker with it at the margins, but make no mistake: these creatures of Washington want to keep it in place. This is the Republicans’ dirty secret.

Republicans have been promising to rip Obamacare out root and branch ever since it was enacted. They ramped up their rhetoric after the allegedly conservative-dominated Supreme Court declared the blatantly unconstitutional Obamacare law constitutional in the incoherent NFIB v. Sebelius ruling of 2012. Americans responded to this government takeover of a huge chunk of the economy by electing GOP-controlled congresses in 2010, 2012, 2014, and 2016, and by electing Donald Trump as president.

Unintimidated by the Left and sneering hack journalists, Trump began the push to bury the misnamed Affordable Care Act and as a result the individual mandate will die at the end of this year. But the bulk of the statute and related rules such as the economically suicidal pre-existing medical conditions mandate remain in place, complete with federal insurance-purchasing subsidies for people who don’t need the help, as well as the sclerotic administrative apparatus, and the odious rule that prevents health insurers from competing across state lines.

The top vote-counters in both chambers say repeal is a no-go for the rest of the year. This ought to worry conservatives because there is a good chance that when the new 116th Congress convenes Jan. 3, 2019, one or both of its chambers will be in the hands of the government healthcare-loving Democrats.

So it’s now or quite possibly never.

“I’m not going to be asking for another vote on that this year,” Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn of Texas reportedly said last week when asked about Obamacare repeal. His counterpart in the House, Steve Scalise of Louisiana, offered excuses for his party’s inaction. “We need to win this election and then get more seats next year.”

Bob Woodward’s new book, “Fear: Trump in the White House,” sold more than 750,000 copies through its first day of release, the most for any title in Simon & Schuster history, according to the 94-year-old publisher.

The investigative book by the veteran Watergate reporter, who has written books about every administration dating back to President Nixon, was powered by excerpts published before the book’s public release Tuesday and President Trump’s public rejection of it. Trump called the book “a con on the public” consisting of quotes that are “made up frauds” designed to boost Democrats ahead of the 2018 midterm elections.

John Dowd was convinced that President Trump would commit perjury if he talked to special counsel Robert S. Mueller III. So, on Jan. 27, the president’s then-personal attorney staged a practice session to try to make his point.

In the White House residence, Dowd peppered Trump with questions about the Russia investigation, provoking stumbles, contradictions and lies until the president eventually lost his cool.

“This thing’s a goddamn hoax,” Trump erupted at the start of a 30-minute rant that finished with him saying, “I don’t really want to testify.”

The dramatic and previously untold scene is recounted in “Fear,” a forthcoming book by Bob Woodward that paints a harrowing portrait of the Trump presidency, based on in-depth interviews with administration officials and other principals.

Woodward writes that his book is drawn from hundreds of hours of interviews with firsthand participants and witnesses that were conducted on “deep background,” meaning the information could be used but he would not reveal who provided it. His account is also drawn from meeting notes, personal diaries and government documents.

the excerpts above reveal that President Trump is doing his job. I fail to see from the two examples where the issue is.

1. He does a mock meeting with Mueller, and he’s convinced in just a few minutes, that he DOESN’T want to testify.

2. He’s upset with the way Afghanistan war that he inherited is conducted. He shows aggravation with the generals. Ok? What’s wrong with that?

I read the article, the portrayal of Trumps temperament seems consistent with others. Is anyone surprised? I like him, voted for him, will again in 2020. I thought he was crazy long before the 2016 campaign, but I’ve come to accept that his brand of loony is what’s needed to shake up DC and the GOP.
