Hi, people – I got permission to do my post quite a few days early – I’ll take off next Monday as penance.
Let’s drop in on last night’s Freeperville live election thread, shall we?
Vanity – Turnout, Turnout, Turnout….vote for Judge, Roy Moore. [LIVE THREAD]
Posted on 12/12/2017, 4:00:51 AM by JLAGRAYFOXIt’s really quite simple…..An American citizen, woman or man, is innocent until proven guilty by a judge, jury of their peers and a solid conviction of said accused crime.
Allegations & Accusations carry no meaning whatsoever, until they are duly proven to be true & factual in a recognized court of law.

Alabama, voters, cast your votes today for Judge, Roy Moore, a good, honorable, religious man, an American patriot, who loves his country and all the people in it. This, my friends is a “Critical Path Election”!!!
You, your family, your loved ones, your great state of Alabama, your country, the USA, POTUS, Donald J. Trump and your “Future” rests in the hands of your vote today!!! Go, Judge, Roy Moore, Go, POTUS, Donald J. Trump, Go, Steve Bannon…on to victory over those politicians, Democrat, “Doug Jones”, etc., whose policies would hurt & destroy this great American Republic!!

Let’s hope. We need a win. We have been losing seats right and left since the election. Many in Oklahoma and other red areas. That needs to stop and hopefully today will be the win we need to stop the bleeding.

Unfortunately if Moore loses there will be a push to moderate and abandon the MAGA agenda even more, especially with Amnesty. So this really could be another make or break election for the country.

rump References Clinton’s Slam on His Supporters During Rally: ‘We’re Proud Deplorables’
Posted on 12/9/2017, 3:51:12 AM by EliRoom8
(Video Clip at Link) President Donald Trump relived Hillary Clinton’s infamous comments slamming his voters last year, telling a crowd of supporters on Friday that “we’re proud deplorables.”
Trump spoke at a rally in Pensacola, Florida, where he touched on a variety of subjects, including urging Alabamas to vote for Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore, who has faced multiple accusations of sexual misconduct.
He also got around to one of his favorite subjects: rehashing his election victory in 2016 over Clinton. Clinton referred at one point on the campaign trail to half of Trump’s supporters as being in a “basket of deplorables,” calling them racist, sexist, and homophobic.
Clinton later apologized for the remarks.
“We won because of people like you,” Trump said to the crowd, saying he took the job on behalf of the “forgotten men and women” of the country. “Guess what? They are forgotten no more.”
People didn’t think voters like them existed, Trump said.

Donald Trump refers to Elizabeth Warren as ‘Pocahontas’ during meeting with Native Americans
The Telegraph ^ | 11/27/17 | Rozina SaburPosted on 11/27/2017, 4:03:03 PM by markomalley
Donald Trump has been criticised for using a racial slur during an event honouring Native American veterans.
The US president was welcoming three Navajo code talkers from the Second World War to the Oval Office on Monday afternoon when he referred to Elizabeth Warren, the Democratic senator, as “Pocahontas”.
During remarks praising their service, he said: “You were here long before any of us were here. Although we have a representative in Congress who they say was here a long time ago. They call her Pocahontas. But you know what, I like you.”
Two Second World War Navajo “code talkers” stood at the podium, with a third seated in a wheelchair as Mr Trump made the remarks, which were greeted with awkward silence.
They were among 29 young volunteers from the Navajo tribe who joined the Marines in 1942 and created a secret code for the military using the Navajo language as a code.
The president has repeatedly mocked the Massachusetts senator for claims she made about being part Native American.

Pat Robertson: President Trump Should Issue A ‘Blanket Pardon’ And Shut Down Mueller Investigation
Right Wing Watch ^ | | October 30, 2017 2:55 pm | By Kyle MantylaPosted on 10/30/2017, 2:10:12 PM by drewh
On “The 700 Club” this morning, televangelist Pat Robertson reacted to the news that former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort had been indicted by special counsel Robert Mueller by calling on President Trump to issue a blanket pardon of everyone who might be implicated in the probe and to then shut down the investigation entirely.
Robertson claimed that Mueller’s investigation has been inexorably “tainted” by the fact that the Clinton campaign and DNC reportedly helped to fund an opposition research dossier during the campaign that alleged connections between the Trump campaign and Russia, insisting that any indictments that result from the Mueller’s investigation must therefore be dismissed and the investigation quashed.
Trump “can grant a pardon to everybody involved in this thing if he wants to,” Robertson said. “This whole thing has got to be shut down … He has every right to shut Mueller down and say, ‘You have gone as far as you need to and I have instructed my Justice Department to close you down.’”
“He can grant a blanket pardon for everybody involved in everything and say, ‘I pardon them all, it’s all over, case closed,’” Robertson continued. “I think that is what he needs to do … He’s got to shut this thing down, he’s just got to.”
To: drewh

To: drewhThat’s some terrible advice there.I read the entire 31 page indictment, and it is clear that he has been doing as charged, large scale money laundering, hiding assets in foreign banks, lying to mortgage companies. All of this happened well before he was hired by Trump, who hired him for a particular job, and fired him only two months later, when that job – delegate wrangling – was complete.
Perhaps Mueller should resign, but I don’t see any reason for Trump to support Manafort – who is merely a common criminal who got caught.
(snip)
Manafort knew damn well he was cheating his taxes for years, he just thought he was too smart and well connected to ever get caught.
No sympathy from me, and I hope none from Trump either.
To: Jack BlackAll of this happened well before he was hired by Trump, who hired him for a particular job, and fired him only two months later, when that job – delegate wrangling – was complete.Manafort worked for the Trump campaign from March 29 to August 19 of 2016, about four-and-a-half months.
And the indictment states that “In order to hide Ukraine payments from United State authorities, from approximately 2006 through at least 2016, Manafort and Gates laundered the money through scores of United States and foreign corporations, partnerships, and bank accounts.” So while he may have started well before he was hired by Trump, Manafort’s criminality appears to have continued while he was working for the campaign.

Tillerson on Report He Called Trump ‘Moron’: ‘Not Going to Deal with Petty Stuff’ to ‘Divide’
PJ Media ^ | 10/03/2017 | Bridget JohnsonPosted on 10/4/2017, 12:28:44 PM by SeekAndFind
WASHINGTON — Secretary of State Rex Tillerson would not directly state whether or not he called President Trump a “moron,” as alleged in an NBC News report, but said at a morning press conference that his “commitment to the success of our president and our country is as strong as it was the day I accepted his offer to serve.”
(snip)
The report said Trump and Tillerson have battled on issues such as Iran, North Korea, Qatar and the white supremacist violence in Charlottesville; Trump has also wanted Tillerson to publicly defend him more. Tillerson allegedly called Trump a “moron” in a July 20 Pentagon meeting in response to the president suggesting that he would can the commander in Afghanistan and comparing troop-level decisions to a 1980s N.Y. restaurant renovation.
Tillerson emerged at the State Department for an unscheduled statement after the story broke, saying he wanted to “dispel this notion that I have ever considered leaving.”
“There’s never been a consideration in my mind to leave. I serve at the appointment of the president and I am here for as long as the president feels I can be useful to achieving his objectives,” he said.
Asked if he called Trump a moron, Tillerson replied, “I’m not going to deal with petty stuff like that.”

Limbaugh: Trump’s comments on NFL ‘starting to make me nervous’
The Hill ^ | October 11, 2017Posted on 10/12/2017, 4:36:29 AM by SMGFan
Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh on Wednesday voiced concerns about President Trump’s comments on NFL players taking a knee during the national anthem to protest racial injustice, saying Trump should not have the power to dictate who can kneel during the anthem.
“There’s a part of this story that’s starting to make me nervous, and it’s this: I am very uncomfortable with the president of the United States being able to dictate the behavior and power of anybody. That’s not where this should be coming from,” Limbaugh said on his show. Limbaugh said he believed Trump’s motives were “pure,” but he argued that the president’s actions were unhelpful in the broader debate on players kneeling.
“Trump is continually tweeting — I know what he’s doing, and I understand why he’s doing it, and his motives are pure; don’t misunderstand. But I don’t think that it is useful or helpful for any employee anywhere to be forced to do something because the government says they must,” he continued.
“We don’t want the president being able to demand anybody that he’s unhappy with behave in a way he requires,” Limbaugh added.

Trump slams Puerto Rico: ‘They want everything to be done for them’

President Trump on Saturday criticized Puerto Rico’s “poor leadership” and defended his administration’s response to the aftermath of Hurricane Maria’s devastation on the island. Following a plea for aid by San Juan’s mayor, Trump said the mayor was being “nasty.”
“The Mayor of San Juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to Trump,” Trump tweeted. “Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan, and others in Puerto Rico, who are not able to get their workers to help.”
“They want everything to be done for them when it should be a community effort,” he continued. “10,000 Federal workers now on Island doing a fantastic job.”

Ellison compares illegal immigrants to Jews fleeing Nazi Germany
The Hill ^ | Josh DelkPosted on 9/20/2017, 1:50:37 PM by SJackson
Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), deputy chairman of the Democratic National Committee, is comparing giving sanctuary to undocumented immigrants in the U.S. to giving shelter to Jews fleeing the Holocaust in Nazi Germany.
“And if you ask yourself ‘What would I do if I was a gentile in 1941, if my Jewish neighbors were under attack by the Nazis? Would I give them sanctuary?'” Ellison said Monday in comments on President Trump’s move to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
“I’m one of the people who believes we should give our neighbors sanctuary,” he told supporters in Minneapolis, as reported by the NTK Network.
Trump said earlier this month he was ending the Obama-era program, which spares from deportation those who were brought to the U.S. as children. The president, however, has called for a legislative solution and indicated a willingness to work with Democrats on the proposed Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act.
(snip)
“So this is not someone else’s fight; this is all our fight but some people are in the bull’s eye and others of us are not exactly the target. Therefore, it is our responsibility to stand up and fight and do the right thing,” Ellison said.

Donald Trump: Let DACA Recipients Stay; Not Amnesty
Breitbart.com ^ | 14 Sep 2017 | Charlie SpieringPosted on 9/14/2017, 3:32:48 PM by Rockitz
President Donald Trump argued that allowing DACA recipients to stay in the United States would not be amnesty. “We’re looking at allowing people to stay here,” Trump said to reporters in Florida on Thursday.
He insisted that his deal with Democrats on DACA recipients would not be amnesty.
“We’re not looking at citizenship, we’re not looking at amnesty,” Trump said.
On Air Force One however, a White House spokesperson confirmed that “legal citizenship over a period of time” for DACA recipients would likely be part of a deal. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi insisted that the plan would offer them a “path to citizenship.”
***********
Legal status with a pathway to citizenship is NOT amnesty. So I guess that’s scratch number 7 here?
How has Trump screwed me? Let me count the ways :
1. Secure the border in a transparently verifiable way;
2. End the anchor-baby interpretation of the 14th Amendment
3. Enforce e-verify without exception and with severe penalties;
4. End chain migration. Entry per individual qualifications; not family ties.
5. Deportation upon contact with any law enforcement agency- federal, state or local;
6. No government benefits beyond critical emergency care(and that ought to be billed back to the home government);
7. NO “Path to citizenship” EVER for anyone who has entered the us illegally.

Donald Trump on DACA: ‘Chuck and Nancy Want to See Something Happen — and so Do I’
Breitbart ^ | 7 Sep 2017 | Charlie SpieringPosted on 9/7/2017, 9:47:50 AM by sickoflibs
President Donald Trump signaled support for signing a permanent deal to assist DACA recipients, giving amnesty to illegal immigrants brought to the United States as children.
“Chuck and Nancy would like to see something happen, and so do I,” Trump said, referring to Democratic leaders Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer.
(excerpt required clip).
The president suggested that ideal legislation would include border security funds and a permanent fix for DACA .
“I’d like to see a permanent deal, and I think it’s going to happen,” he said. “I think we’re going to have great support from both sides of Congress.”

Trump Tells Aides He Has Decided to Remove Stephen Bannon
New York Times ^ | August 18, 2017 | MAGGIE HABERMANPosted on 8/18/2017, 11:46:56 AM by reaganaut1
President Trump has told senior aides that he has decided to remove Stephen K. Bannon, the embattled White House chief strategist who helped Mr. Trump win the 2016 election, according to two administration officials briefed on the discussion.
The president and senior White House officials were debating when and how to dismiss Mr. Bannon. The two administration officials cautioned that Mr. Trump is known to be averse to confrontation within his inner circle, and could decide to keep on Mr. Bannon for some time.
As of Friday morning, the two men were still discussing Mr. Bannon’s future, the officials said. A person close to Mr. Bannon insisted the parting of ways was his idea, and that he had submitted his resignation to the president on Aug. 7, to be announced at the start of this week, but it was delayed in the wake of the racial unrest in Charlottesville, Va.
Mr. Bannon had clashed for months with other senior West Wing advisers and members of the president’s family.
But the loss of Mr. Bannon, the right-wing nationalist who helped propel some of Mr. Trump’s campaign promises into policy reality, raises the potential for the president to face criticism from the conservative news media base that supported him over the past year.
To: wyowolf
This is an INCREDIBLY stupid move by Trump. The one thing Trump cannot afford to do is alienate his base.
You think he gives a fuck who he alienates? You haven’t been paying attention the last 20 years or so, have you? He got what (he thought) he wanted, and as far as he cares, you and the rest of “the base” can go fuck off.
And I can’t think of anything more surely guaranteed to alienate his base than dumping Bannon.

But no more. I don’t know how many times lately, I have hit refresh or picked a new thread only to wait and wait and wait and then I give up and go to another site.
The powers that be recommend limiting your window options to twenty. My reply is, if that’s the problem, the just taking the option away and making it twenty should be the solution.
And I know about DOS attacks – they can easily be filtered by a front-end server – so that shouldn’t be a problem.
Anyways, whatever it is, it’s getting series. And Hugh!

JULY 31, 2017 Washington, DC (ABC/WBEN) Anthony Scaramucci resigns as White House Communications Director.
This comes the same day John Kelly was sworn in as Chief of Staff. Sources tell ABC Scaramucci resigned, asking to be redeployed at the Export Import Bank as chief strategy officer.

Trump Removes Anthony Scaramucci From Communications Director Role
The New York Times ^ | July 31, 2017 | By MAGGIE HABERMAN, MICHAEL D. SHEAR and GLENN THRUSHPosted on 7/31/2017, 1:44:17 PM by abb
WASHINGTON — President Trump has decided to remove Anthony Scaramucci from his position as communications director, three people close to the decision said Monday, relieving him just days after Mr. Scaramucci unloaded a crude verbal tirade against other senior members of the president’s senior staff.
The decision to remove Mr. Scaramucci, who had boasted about reporting directly to the president not the chief of staff, John F. Kelly, came at Mr. Kelly’s request, the people said. Mr. Kelly made clear to members of the White House staff at a meeting Monday morning that he is in charge.

“Yet another”? How many have there BEEN, Jimbo?
Received a copy of the message pasted below that apparently is circulating via freepmail.
In response, all I can say is John is my son and my partner in FR along with Chris and Amy. None of us make a six figure salary. I designed and wrote the original version of FR back in ’96, but it was my very first internet project ever. It worked, but codewise it was a dog. And virtually impossible to maintain.
When John came in with me, he rewrote the software and made it work greater than ever before and included maintenance tools that were sorely needed. I never dreamed that a homegrown internet site could handle the traffic and the millions of posts that we do. And even including the few times when we were down hard for more than a day, over the last 21 years we have better than 99% uptime.
And later, when our growth saturated and used up all the resources of our original ISP, John designed and built our multi-server hardware system, negotiated a contract for sufficient bandwidth and installed it at the San Jose data center. I’m not a techie so the hardware and software are John’s baby.
And he and Chris are planning on running FR after me and Amy are gone. We are not about to let it die, assuming there’s still a need and willing members.
This is about 20th warning being circulated during the last 20 years that FR’s demise was imminent within the next year. Someday they may be right.
Lastly, if the guy who wrote the message below thinks he can do a better job than we do, he should go for it. And, for crying out loud, if he thinks he’s being ripped off he should stop donating immediately and possibly should start posting somewhere else.
————————————————————–
“I don’t want to answer this question out in public, but I do want to answer it because I believe that many potential donors are in the same position. I have donated fairly regularly, but am becoming increasingly hesitant to continue on.
We see from the numbers that EXCLUDING expenses (collocation, bandwidth, legal, credit card processing fees, etc.) Jim (and I assume John shares) is pulling in a cool quarter million per year from this. Its his baby… he created it, he does what he can from home to babysit it… that’s fine… more power to him. It seems that his son John is the other principal who does the running to the data-center when things need fixing.
I don’t know how much John gets from this… but there’s enough profit there for BOTH Jim and John to make a six-figure salary. John apparently already has a full time job… he gets around to FR issues “when he can squeeze in the time”. If someone’s getting a six-figure salary to mind a system then that system ought to be sort of a high priority, not something that can be squeezed in on weekends now and then.
It is what it is… but here’s where it’s reaching the breaking point for me and I think many others:
Given the frequency of hardware failures, it’s becoming clear that it is now more likely than not that FR won’t exist a year from now. Many of us have suggested that hardware upgrades are becoming increasingly more of a priority… they’re now imperative.
There in NO discussion of this even being considered. I get it that Jim’s a stubborn guy… no one likes change, and a migration is a scary project.
But, without it, this site is going to evaporate… soon. Hardware is cheap… he could get a pair of great servers for $20K… the software is fine, no need to spend a ton of money writing some fancy new system. Just replace the hardware with something modern. Get some of the many experts here to volunteer a few days to work on the migration.
A brand new setup would cost less than one month’s “salary”… but would guarantee that FR survives. If giving up one month’s pay to invest in the future of his site (and the future of his income) is too much to ask, then hold a special freepathon to raise it. I can almost guarantee this money, if it was known that it was being allocated to a legit hardware upgrade plan, would be raised in a matter of a few days.
Perhaps Jim’s plan is to simply squeeze as much money out of it until it dies, then forget about it... we don’t know… he’s not saying anything (at least publicly that I can see). If that’s the case, he should at least be honest about the plan to the people he’s asking to pay his salary. If he has a plan for the site to continue, then he would be better served telling his donors what that plan is…. that would encourage more to be on board with the plan.
I would hate to see FR die abruptly and permanently. The likelihood of that happening soon is becoming very high at this point if these outages and other hardware issues continue on their current trend. If that’s NOT the plan, then I wish Jim would communicate to his donors about it and get moving to prevent that… before its too late.”
Wow.
What a screed.
And the freepmail he referred to is pretty hairy, also.
I do notice that whoever forwarded this freepmail didn’t bother to tell Jim Rob who actually sent it, though.
Accidental omission, or a dead fish in an overcoat?
Not going to post too many responses here, as the Freepers who agree with the anonymous freepmailer (and isn’t it odd that this $800,000.00 / year site can’t run a simple text search on the Freepmail module?) – well, they’re laying low.
Most responses are like this one:
To: Jim RobinsonI would be delighted if all of you made that much.I can’t imagine that any but a tiny, irrelevant minority would begrudge you a good living from FR.You don’t have to explain, or justify what you make from FR, the best Conservative web site on the internet, influential to powerful people who give you very little public credit, and followed by people all over the world.I would give more if I could, and if my business ever starts to make money

Wow : Donald Trump Jr. Releases the Emails — and They Look a lot Like, Um, Collusion
Townhall ^ | July 11, 2017 | Guy Benson
Posted on 7/11/2017, 4:54:35 PM by righttackle44
Earlier today, here at Townhall and on Fox News, I said that more information needed to be gathered before anyone should declare the Donald Trump, Jr. story a bombshell or a dud. First and foremost, I argued, it would be very helpful to see the actual emails that preceded the now-infamous June meeting, which the New York Times claimed would demonstrate that the president’s son was well aware of the alleged source and nature of the promised anti-Clinton information (which never materialized) in advance.
The Times story was rooted in unnamed sources who characterized, but apparently did not produced, the messages in question. In order to determine if the documents were being mischaracterized, we should see them, I said. About an hour later, Donald Trump, Jr. tweeted the full four-page exchange, which Cortney relayed here. Trump Jr. cast his tweets as efforts at full transparency, but one can’t help but wonder if there was another pressing motive at play: He preempted the Times, which had the chain and was about to run with it. In any case, the content of these emails was, in my case, literally jaw-dropping.
Trump Jr’s associate alerted him to the supposed existence of highly sensitive information regarding wrongdoing tied to Mrs. Clinton, telling him that it would be furnished by a “Russian government attorney” who was representing “Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump” (who now claims she wasn’t tied to the Kremlin). To which Trump Jr. replied, “if it’s what you say I love it.”
This couldn’t be much clearer: And these shifts look really bad, especially when you read the quote from March in which Trump Jr. flatly denies meeting with any Russian nationals in arranged meetings: .
And the comment from the Freeper who posted this heresy??
Wait for it…..
Not good.

It’s clear once again that Trump doesn’t really understand how solar works. From his words, he appears to believe the mere production of energy will somehow generate revenue, ignoring the fact someone has to buy the energy it produces. He didn’t explain who would be dong that – was he planning to sell the power to Mexico? The poor residents of south Texas border towns? Who will be purchasing the electricity and at what price?

Instead – let’s look at a Freeper favourite – well, EX-favourite – who has dared to mention that The Darnold is long on promising and short on delivering.
Remember these pics? Ah – how they loved her. Jimbo’s about to bust a nut in this photograph of record :

“Etchings? Etchings?? I said, come up and see me ITCHING!”
Now?
She goes there.
And the Freeperati are livid!
Ann Coulter Unleashes on Trump for ‘Zero’ Progress on Border Wall
Fox News Insider ^ | June 16, 2017Posted on 6/16/2017, 3:25:46 PM by 2ndDivisionVet
Ann Coulter was a big supporter of then-candidate Donald Trump during the 2016 campaign, but so far she’s been underwhelmed by the Trump presidency.
On Friday, Coulter unleashed a series of tweets, ripping Trump for his lack of progress on building a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, addressing illegal immigration and halting the flow of Middle Eastern refugees into our country….

To: 2ndDivisionVetAnn has trouble seeing the big picture or she’s just bi-polar.

There will be no wall built if Trump is removed from office.

“Oh, we’re going to build a wall, don’t worry about it. We’re building the wall. We’re building the wall,” he said in an apparent aside from his prepared remarks. “In fact, it’s going to start soon. Way ahead of schedule. Way ahead of schedule. Way, way, way ahead of schedule. It’s going to start very soon.”

What is Ann’s problem? Did she think this was going to be easy? Did she think the swamp would be quick and easy to drain. Does she not realize this is “war” and the opening shots have just been fired?
I’m starting to think she may be just a silly girl…

Well, I do agree that he should be ignoring the courts and doing what the law clearly says he is allowed to do. We elected him BECAUSE he was going to break the china! Right now, he seems to be a very careful bull.

Lincoln and TR sure started their projects their first year in office or at least laid concrete plans to do so. She is right on target. This promise will rank up there with read my lips….. if he doesnt get it done. And the Dreamer amnesty and taking Australia’s refugee problem do not look good for the future at all.

So far, here is what I have heard:
Caucasian, English-speaking, patron of the hotel, entered the foyer, with an AR and gasoline, security guard(s) ran away, entered the casino gaming room and used the gas to set fires, doused himself with gas, set it on fire, shot himself in the head, and there are up to 30 casualties (presumably from smoke inhalation)

(CNN)
The lone gunman behind the casino attack that left 37 dead in Manila last week was in debt and had a gambling problem, Philippine police say.
Jessie Carlos Javier, a 42-year-old man from the Philippines, was identified as the suspect in last week’s attack in the Philippines capital, said Oscar Albayalde, police chief for the Manila area.
Carlos was separated from his wife and had been laid off from his job. Recently, he was banned from entering all casinos at the request of his wife, according to Southern Police District Chief Tomas Apolinario Jr.
Police believe Carlos, who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, acted alone. ISIS had claimed responsibility for the attack Friday, but officials have repeatedly denied it was terror-related.
“This is the truth. This is all the truth,” Albayalde told reporters as authorities gave details of the lone assailant.
OK, good people – something old, something new this week.

A Trump moment went viral for the wrong reason on Thursday as he and the leaders of 27 other NATO member countries assembled for a photo at the treaty organization’s gleaming new Brussels, Belgium headquarters. As Trump made his way through the group to take his position in the front row next to Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Montenegro’s Prime Minister Duško Marković was in his way. So Trump put his hand on Marković’s upper arm and shoved him aside.

Good morning, constant readers! And you think The Darnold had a bad week?
Despite soaking the marks for around $352,000.00 per year in pledges – Free Republic crashed like a Piper Cherokee with a four-year-old at the controls.
And when I say “crashed”, I’m not talking about a server reboot – I’m talking four whole days.
And right in the middle of a Freepathon, too.

A pinned notice on what was left of the site directed jonesing Freeperati to the Free Republic Facebook page. OK – let’s go there.
At first, the posts are hopeful :
Coop Degrass Heck, this little glitch might actually create enough pent up craving among everybody Jonesing for FR that revenue might increase.
Then :
Robert Morrow It’s not about money! At $345k a year income the site takes in 50 times more than it needs to operate so giving more will not fix the problem. The problem is how the forum is hosted. Until that mindset changes there will be no improvements regardless of how generous people are.
Uh oh.
Bob Park The level of revenue isn’t the issue… it’s how its being used. Apparently, its not being used to do required/routine hardware upgrades/maintenance like it should. People are being paid salaries, but the proper procedures aren’t in place to deal with these situations… if they were, the thing would be back in operation day one. More money isn’t going to fix human caused problems.
Coop Degrass Robert Morrow said: But it IS broke; that’s the point or the site would not be down for 3-7 days two times within 7 months.
If it doesn’t affect the bottom line, then it’s a good business model.
Robert Morrow I guess you haven’t noticed the snails pace of the recent freepathons. It is affecting the bottom line and after this extremely long outage how likely do you think people will be to give more when the site goes down every time critical events happen when it’s needed the most. Your logic is not sound. I want to see FR do well and be profitable but to do so going forward it must do things differently even if that means less money in their pockets for a while.
David B. RobinsonWhat a sense of entitlement I see here. This is Jim Robinson’s creation and if you believe in the principles of Free Republic then we should respect the private property rights the ones who run the website to run it anyway they want and with the hardware and software they want to run it on. Donations is not a contract for services, they can spend the donation however they want and if you want to stop donating you have that right. If I was Jim and John Robinson (no relation to me) I could see them saying the hell with the ingrates and just shut down Free Republic for good. For all the big talk of people who can’t wait for CWII to kick liberal asses. You think the internet is going to be running? If you can’t handle three or four days of no Free Republic I hate to know how you will be in a crisis.

Trump Warns Comey and Says He May Cancel Press Briefings
New York Times ^ | May 12, 2017 | PETER BAKERPosted on 5/12/2017, 8:33:36 AM by reaganaut1
WASHINGTON — President Trump on Friday warned James B. Comey, the former F.B.I. director he fired this week, against leaking anything negative about the president and warned the news media that he may cancel all future White House briefings.
In a series of early-morning Twitter posts, Mr. Trump even seemed to suggest that there may be secret tapes of his conversations with Mr. Comey that could be used to counter the former F.B.I. director if necessary. It was not immediately clear whether he meant that literally or simply hoped to intimidate Mr. Comey into silence.
“James Comey better hope that there are no ‘tapes’ of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!” Mr. Trump wrote on Twitter.
Mr. Trump appeared agitated
In other breaking news, water appears wet!
over news reports on Friday that focused on contradictory accounts of his decision to fire Mr. Comey at the same time the F.B.I. is investigating ties between Mr. Trump’s associates and Russia.

Trump should get off Twitter. He sounds unstable, not what you want in a President.

To: reaganaut1“Trump should get off Twitter.”So, then you’re theory is Trump should not attempt to bypass the enemedia

and communicate directly with the people, but should instead let the people hear only the lying voices of CNN/CBS/ABC/CBS and what they CLAIM Trump said?
Not to mention, the enemedia

proclaims 24x7x365 every day since he was nominated that he is “unstable”, regardless of what he says or does.
Oh, and Trump doesn’t sound unstable to me. He simply sounds like Trump has always sounded.
