Chimpy’s job approval rating remained mired at 35% in the new NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll, the same number that he had in their previous poll (conducted in January) and a scant one point higher than his all-time low for that poll.

Also of note, the public’s opinion of the economy is souring. Asked about furture economic conditions, respondents said:

Economy will get better – 16% (down from 21% in the previous poll)

Economy will get worse – 31% (up from 16% in the previous poll)

Economy stay the same – 49% (down from 60% in the previous poll)
