Considering Bin Laden’s age, is this a variant on, “I am absolutely certain that Bin Laden will be dead within 50 years.”
Because of the close relationship between both the Bushes and the Bin Ladens to the Saudi royal family, Shrubya doesn’t want to find Osama. I’ll bet that he just wants to do what he’s always done in life, pass the buck on to the next guy (or gal) and let that person deal with the consequences of the cheerleader’s mistakes, especially since it’s likely that the next president will be a Democrat. Thus, Shrubya gets to stay buddies with the Sauds, while the next guy (or gal) deals with the repercussions of handling the Bin Laden problem (fall-out in the US/S.A. relationship, probable higher energy costs, continued instability in the Middle East).
