What The American People Is
I hope you take enormous pride in the accomplishments of this department. And I hope you know the American people is grateful for your service.
Separate Separations
The events of September the 11th, 2001 demonstrated the threats of a new era. I say “new” because we found that oceans which separate us from separate — different continents no longer separate us from danger.
Lessons On September 11th
In other words, there’s some serious lessons on September the 11th that it’s important for all Americans to remember.
That Is Inconvenient Thought
At this moment, somewhere in the world, a terrorist is planning an attack on us. I know that’s inconvenient thought for some, but it is the truth.
Brainwreck
Even all these steps — with even all these steps, we know that a free society — there’s no such thing as perfect security.
No, You Haven’t
We’ve helped establish mutual aid agreements within states, and strengthened the Emergency Management Assistant [sic] Compact among states — so that when communities need help from their neighbors, the right assistance will get to the right people at the right time.
Imporvement Despite Their Efforts
Despite these efforts, today FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security — because of these efforts, FEMA and Homeland Security are better prepared.
“At this moment, somewhere in the world, a terrorist is planning an attack on us. I know that’s inconvenient thought for some, but it is the truth.”
I’ll bet that, if you put one million monkeys in front of one million typewriters, at least one of them will type, intentionally or accidentally, “DEATH TO AMERICA” (maybe with a few misspellings, but you get the point). But what else would you expect from the Chimpanzee-in-Chief who uses terror and fear to “lead” the nation?
And still with this oceans-protected-us-from-Soviet-ICBMs crap? When will they get over it? Oh, that’s right, never.
1) “we found that oceans which separate us from separate — different continents no longer separate us from danger”
For a history major, you’d think he would have heard of Pearl Harbor. Also see Randy’s quip above.
2) Every time I see “Your President Speaks” I get this picture of a trained seal clapping his flippers, “ARF ARF ARF ARF ARF …”
3) Totally off topic, but you did mention FEMA, I’ve started playing a computer game called “Deus Ex”. The world is threatened by a plaque and the FEMA agent is a guy’s guy shoot-em up who finds out that the world-wide resistance forces are actually the good guys and the govt agencies have manufactured the plaque and keeping the antidote for the select few.
For some reason, it is almost believeable.
