Facts are real…How do you know that? Part II

I find it amazing that it took over a month for someoneto figure this out.

Though given the campaign coverage we have, I guess not…

Update: From the above linked post…

Fine, “Huckabee doesn’t have a theology degree.” Why, then, did he tell
TV preacher Pat Robertson’s CBN, “I’m the only guy on that stage with a
theology degree”?

When I first read the post I thought it was referencing what Huckabee said at theCNN/YouTube debate

And as the only person here on the stage with a theology degree, there
are parts of it I don’t fully comprehend and understand, because the
Bible is a revelation of an infinite god, and no finite person is ever
going to fully understand it. If they do, their god is too small.

The CBN article is dated November 8. The CNN/YouTube debate was November 28.

UPDATE:Paddy has more…I’m losing count

  1. Yeah, but he’s got a Phd in BullSh*t snake Oil Sales and a minor in Tote The Note used car sales.
Slime is slime no matter the paper trail.

  2. OK, as someone who has now worked from 6 am Dutch time to 5 pm NJ time, I am the least qualified for accusing you of having some manic posting episode, but still…
    take are of yourself
as for your post – facts are so reality-based community.

  3. I suspect the reason that he doesn’t understand the Bible is that large portions of itreally, actually don’t make sense. But that’d be, you know, likeeasy or something.

  4. Y’all don’t quite understand the system. Every course of study at Ouachita Baptist University is related to the Southern Baptist Convention’s view of the world. A music degree will qualify you for SBC music, not playing in an orchestra.
He is an ordained SBC minister. He has taken the courses, but only courses related to the SBC view on theology, because they don’t “teach the controversy” at SBC institutions, only the orthodoxy of the SBC. Not all Southern Baptists are SBC, but a lot of the heavy hitters [Grahams, Falwells, Land] are.
The SBC are the ultra-conservative, creationist, flat earth, Bible inerrancy whackos among the Baptists.
You can’t graduate from an SBC institution and avoid church and Bible study.

  5. Bryan, As an ex-S. Baptist I’ve wondered the same myself about Huck’s meaning. But even then, I’d think most SBC ministers would be rather contrary to equating a communications undergrad with a degree in theology (for that part, an M Div includes some theology but isn’t really a theology degree. So even if he had an M Div, I’d question his calling that a degree in theology, but I’d give him *some* poetic license there).

  6. Oh, I should have added Bryan, you are quite on the mark that even if he had an SBC theology degree, it would be SBC theology and not have a whole lot to do with even other protestant sects.

  7. To decide which online business degree is right for you, it is best to decide what your career goals are or what your current job calls for. For instance, if you want to start your own small business, then a degree in marketing may be your best bet. But, if you are currently a manager at your place of business then leadership degree may get you the skills you need to get a promotion and a raise in your current career.Online Education College Degreehttp://online-high-school-home-education.blogspot.com .
