Nice Liberal Media we’ve got there.
That’s a screenshot from this morning’s onlineNY Times.
Could we get a better example of how fucked our media has become?
Still, though, the Internets are killing journalism!

I like it. We are now in the all important “shaping of the debate” context. If the media wants to build mccain up and tear obama down it can only help obama in the debate, and hurt mccain. the one thing we don’t want is mccain getting the old guy pity fuck vote for merely being able to stay on his feet with obama.

I just saw this. Maybe Steve Schmidt was right about the NYT after all.
“Still, though, the Internets are killing journalism!”
Funny, I thought journamalism was killing journalism.
Silly me.
I’m with aimai. I think building up expectations on McCain is good for Obama. It’ll seem that much more impressive when McCain has his Queeg moment on national TV.
Two questions, completely unrelated, of course:
1) How many days ago did McCain’s campaign manager say that the NY Times was no longer a newspaper because it was so obviously in the bag for Obama?
2) How many days ago were these two columns written?
Completely unrelated.
The McCain-fluffing article was written by Kit Seelye. Imagine my surprise.
Oh, geeze Gregory – you used “McCain” and “fluffing” in the same sentence and now I am going to be ill…

Gonna agree with aimai, in that this is good for bama’s expectations game.
The idea that this was a subtle plan by the Times to favor bama is ridiculous, though.
were you pointing us to this?
“Talk to the Newsroom: Bruce Weber, an obituary writer”
Saw that this morning and remarked to my husband, “The Times is so totally in the bag for McCain.”
I still think so.
