WASHINGTON – Hillary Rodham Clinton will concede Tuesday night that Barack Obama
has the delegates to secure the Democratic nomination, campaign
officials said, effectively ending her bid to be the nation’s first
female president.

The former first lady will stop short of formally suspending or ending
her race in her speech in New York City. She will pledge to continue to
speak out on issues like health care. But for all intents and purposes,
the two senior officials said, the campaign is over.

UPDATE: Terry McAuliffe just now on CNN says “the race goes on”…so who knows

  1. Thanks to Hillary, this voter in her early 30s may still see a female president. We are that much closer
And Terry McAuliffe is a douche. There I said it.

  2. Anyone who expected Ms Clinton to show some class tonight by congratulating Barack Obama and promising to work for his election, just hasn’t been following this campaign. On the other hand, Senator Obama did give a moving tribute to Senator Clinton in his speech. Different strokes for different kinds of folks.
