Andy Rooney’s best 60 Minutes comment ever was a response to Holocaust deniers. As a young war correspondent, he was sent to Buchenwald shortly after it was liberated, and was an eyewitness to what really happened there. His closing statement was something to the effect that “sometimes fighting wars is more important than keeping the peace.”
