  1. “Damyankees” is a word? Learn something new everyday.

    Lyle Lovett is a fave not just for his music. His deadpan acting is delightful (see, e.g., Robert Altman’s Carver adaptation Short Cuts).

    And “Joshua Judges Ruth” is one of the best album titles ever.

    Also, his hair, of course, but that should go without saying.

  2. Large band, big hair. Also the teevee series The Bridge where he played a deadpan East Texas lawyer/bagman.
