I’m not a Queens of the Stone Age fan but I love the cover of 2007’s Era Vulgaris, which was inspired by product ads aimed at kids. These products are really, really bad for you.

I wasn’t a Queens of the Stone Age fan, either. It’s a good band with a wacky right-wing leadman (also see Jane’s Addiction, Gary Numan, Killing Joke). But just this year they grew on me. They are a very good compliment to another L.A. band, the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Songs For The Deaf, Rated R, Villians, and Era Vulgaris are probably their best albums.
