You can tell by looking at the cover that Peggy Lee set a fine table. The music is pretty darn good as well.
1953’s Black Coffee was Lee’s first record in the then revolutionary 10 inch format. It was subsequently rereleased in 1956 as a 12 inch LP with four additional tracks. I hope that satisfies everyone’s need for vinyl trivia because it’s all I got.
As you can see below, Black Coffee was originally released with a black and white cover. I usually prefer B&W to color but not in this case.
