Album Cover Art Wednesday: Space Escapade

Space was big after Sputnik. It was the dawn of the space age in 1958 when Les Baxter released this album.

I really dig the bedsprings on the heads of the chicks. Looks more like sleep age than space age.

Baxter’s musical style is best described as swing meets exotica meets easy listening. I decided to go easy on him…

The back cover is spacy or is that agey? Beats the hell outta me.
