Trump Losing His Last Few Marbles

Not that there is any reason to listen to me, but I have some ideas about what Joe Biden could run on against Donald Trump as the presidential campaign heats up, and one of them should be his mental capacity vs. Trump’s.

I know that “voters say Biden’s age is a major concern” is a mantra that the average DC writer/pundit repeats ad nauseum, but Trump has been getting more and more nonsensical during his rallies. One example:

None of that made any sense. Not sure exactly what he was going on about there, but he seems to be claiming he saved Obamacare from John McCain, but he’s also going to destroy it?

Trump has also referred in public to Obama as the current president. Not Biden. When confronted about this Trump said this was intentional (for some reason?).

Trump also seems to be confused about how many world wars we have had, warning that an “impaired” Biden may start World War II. Seemingly not satisfied with just the hilariously ironic gaffe where he criticizes Biden’s mental capacity by claiming he would start a war that ended 78 years ago, he also bragged about being ahead of…Obama in the polls.

Trump also has claimed he got double to triple the votes he actually got, based on something called “the feeling.”

The man has always been loose with both the truth and the English language, but this stuff is something else altogether. Biden’s campaign has been hitting Trump on this via social media:

But Trump himself has offered social media fodder that raises questions about his mental state. This Truth Social post was rather bizarre.

It doesn’t seem like Americans are picking up on this as yet. While that hopefully will change as more people pay attention to the campaign, Democrats must continue to bring this up. Even if it means calling out major media outlets like the New York Times and CNN for not bringing it up. If we are to choose between an 81-year-old and a 78-year-old, maybe we need to be clear about who has the better mental acuity, and it is definitely not Donald Trump.

The last word gets us in a more upbeat, more seasonal place, because we deserve it, and it goes to Vince Guaraldi.
