He killed 2 people, he got away with it, he committed more crimes, and the media was complicit in all of it.

He did it, but the public and especially the media are complicit. In any event, systems are what matter, not individuals. OJ is dead, but the systemic changes that he had a part in spawning will continue without him. And similarly, while Trump must be defeated, defeating Trumpism will be a generational project.
