In yesterday’s malaka of the week post, I posed this question:
The identity of the MAGA goon who assaulted the cemetery employee remains a mystery. That’s irksome since it happened 9 days ago. Where is the legacy media in all this?”
The mystery has been solved by NPR:
The two staffers, according to a source with knowledge of the incident, are deputy campaign manager Justin Caporale and Michel Picard, a member of Trump’s advance team.”
Both of these goons yelled at the cemetery lady, but Picard is the one who shoved her:
When an ANC employee tried to enforce the rules, she was verbally abused by the two Trump campaign operatives, according to a source with knowledge of the incident. Picard then pushed her out of the way according to two Pentagon officials.”
She was pushed by a guy named Picard? Is Jean-Luc aware of this? This would surely be his reaction:
Other media organizations have minimized the Cemetery Shove, but NPR has been all over it. I do, however, wish they wouldn’t use euphemisms for lies such as “falsely asserted.” That waters down the impact. In my book a lie is a lie is a lie.
A normal campaign would fire Caporale and Picard, but The Insult Comedian is still trying to lie his way out of responsibility for the Cemetery Shove. He claimed that it’s disinformation from Team Harris but who believes anything he says? Only hardcore Trumpers and the inside the beltway political press.
Finally, we move from the Cemetery Shove to the Cemetery Polka. The last word goes to Tom Waits:
