The unfit president-elect is picking unqualified MAGA maggots for his cabinet. I’m not sure which appointment is worse: Matt Gaetz, Tulsi Gabbard or Pete Hegseth. At least I’d heard of the first two. My response to the Hegseth appointment was Pete Who? That’s not Pete of The Who, it’s Pete Who:
Who the fuck is Pete Who? Hegseth is a Fox weekend host whose sole qualification is abject sycophancy to the Kaiser of Chaos. Pete Who is a homophobe who doesn’t believe women should serve in the armed forces. Then there’s this:
In 2019, Trump’s Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth said that he never washes his hands and can’t remember washing them once in the past 10 years: “Germs are not a real thing. I can’t see them.”

Who the hell would shake hands with this creep? The other guy in the featured image, that’s who. He’s one of the war criminals Hegseth lobbied Trump to pardon:
1st Lt. Clint Lorance, was found guilty in a 2013 court-martial of second-degree murder, making false statements and other charges after he ordered his platoon to fire on three Afghan men on a motorcycle. He was later pardoned by Trump.”
Low information voters elected a troll, not a president. Speaking off the record, some GOP Senators claim they may vote against the terrible trio of Hegseth, Gabbard, and Gaetz. I’m skeptical. They’ve rolled over for everything in the past. The only one I believe is Lisa Murkowski. Runaround Sue Collins has said she’s concerned. We all know what that means: she’ll vote aye whilst frowning.
It’s bad enough that Trump insulted the military with this nomination. Presumably, he’ll expect the brass to shake Pete Who’s hand. In a word: Gross.
The last word goes to Elvis Presley:

The conservative talking point in support of Hegseth appears to be:
BuT hE wOn TwO bRoNzE sTaRs!
Quick application of the razor of Ockham or Occam or whoever says that the felon tapped Hegseth because he saw Hegseth on teevee and liked the cut of his jib. And yes, having observed the felon’s first term in office, that’s the way he makes these decisions. After some initial squawking from some of the more sentient Republican Senators, they will soon enough pipe down (if they know what’s good for them) and confirm all of the felon’s nominees.
I will be interested to see just how “resigned” Matt Gaetz is from his seat in Congress. It looks more and more like he has resigned his current seat, but will take the oath of office with everyone else on January 3 for his new term of office. Why? Well, it means that the investigation by the House will go by the boards when the new Congress is sworn in.
