I can’t do any more politics this week. But then some good comic relief came our way with TFG’s announcement that he was nominating Matt Gaetz to be Attorney General. Some wags on Twitter (always Twitter,  never X, but now we’re all headed to BlueSky anyway) brought up the Butthead meme, but the true fictional counterpart to Gaetz is Jonah Ryan, the person you love to hate from the HBO series Veep.

I loved Veep because I love Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and I loved The Mary Tyler Moore show and Veep is its sardonic 21^st century remake. And after the announcement I realized that Gaetz reminds me of Jonah Ryan. So here are some reasons to hate Jonah.
