Donald Trump is a racist.
This is a statement of fact, like “the sun rises in the east” or “Earth is the third planet from the sun.” Some white people get weird when you suggest someone is a racist but at this point, you have to be an idiot or a racist yourself not to see it in Trump and his administration. There has been enough proof alone during the first month of 2025’s two big tragedies: The Los Angeles fires and this week’s plane/helicopter collision near Reagan National Airport.
In both cases, Trump and his crew of horrible blamed DEI for each disaster. The New York Times’ Jamal Bouie, one of few remaining bright spots at The Paper of Record, called it perfectly when Nazi Salute Enthusiast Elon Musk dropped this nonsense on his hellsite:
i’m kind of amazed at how this is just the crudest, most obvious n****rbaiting you can imagine. “the people you don’t like, yeah, they are responsible for everything bad.” and it works!
Bouie is right. This is 1950s segregation-era blame-the-Blacks George Wallace shit, a few steps away from being one of those people in photos of 1930s lynchings, posing and smiling with their kids in tow under a hanging mutilated human body.
The yesterday and today, Trump repeatedly blamed diversity for the airline tragedy. Without any evidence, of course, and well before the end of the investigation, like the stupidest and most miserable old white man at the diner counter babbling about Black people ruining the world. Bouie was once again correct:
these people are segregationists and their position is that no one who isn’t a white man is qualified to do skilled work of any kind
But he didn’t stop with racism. You see, Trump, like any Nazi, also hates the disabled. So Trump blamed amputees and dwarves, among others, for the crash.
So Trump and his cronies have demonstrated George Wallace type tendencies, and old-school Nazi tendencies so far this month. Might as well add another dictator to the mix. I saw this on Bluesky and found it very astute:
DEI to the Trump administration seems to be what the kulak was to the Stalin administration
— Alexander Clarkson (@aphclarkson.bsky.social) 2025-01-30T16:47:15.227Z
Dekulakization was a Soviet policy initiated under Joseph Stalin between 1929 and 1932 aimed at eliminating kulaks, or well-to-do peasants, as a class to facilitate agricultural collectivization. The campaign involved widespread political repression, including arrests, deportations, and executions, resulting in the displacement of over 1.8 million peasants during 1930–1931. The policy’s aggressive implementation led to significant disruptions in agricultural productivity, contributing to the Soviet famine of 1930–1933, which caused millions of deaths.
Worked out great!
I will end by saying that if you were one of those moderates who said things like “Racism is over, we elected Obama so we don’t need diversity initiatives” or “Maybe Christopher Rufo has a point about making everything about race” then what we are seeing, my friend, is the logical conclusion of those thoughts. This is what it looks like.
If anything good can come of all this, perhaps some people see what the end result of playing footsie with fascists looks like. Here’s to hoping.
The last word goes to Modest Mouse.

When one reporter timidly challenged the felon on his groundless assertion that the mid-air collision was due to DEI, he sneered that he “thinks” that way because he has common sense.
Let’s see, no mid-air plane collisions during the Obama and Biden administrations. Ten days into the felon’s second term, he gets rid of the FAA administrator, dismantles the Aviation Security Advisory Committee, and threatens the jobs of more than 95% of federal workers, and we have 67 dead and the first mid-air collision in nearly two decades.
What does common sense suggest, based on the facts in the second paragraph?
