You already know that some truly awful news broke about President Grievance on Tuesday morning: Â that key documents from the Epstein files which implicate him are missing.
According to the newly released files, the FBI internally circulated Epstein-related allegations that mention Trump in late July and early August 2025. The list, collected from the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center, included numerous salacious allegations. Agents marked most of the accusations as unverifiable or not credible.
But one lead was sent to the FBI’s Washington office with the purpose of setting up an interview with the accuser. The lead was included in an internal PowerPoint slide deck detailing “prominent names” in the Epstein and Maxwell investigations last fall.
The woman who directly named Trump in her abuse allegation claimed that around 1983, when she was around 13 years old, Epstein introduced her to Trump, “who subsequently forced her head down to his exposed penis which she subsequently bit. In response, Trump punched her in the head and kicked her out.”
But even with that ghoulish news, the SOTU went on. The Republicans camped out along the aisle so they could shake hands with someone accused of a heinous crime that no one really doubts he committed. And the bros on the US Olympic hockey team were there, basking in Trump’s praise because they are OK with what he’s done. It’s so disappointing to see their behavior and I can’t excuse them for their bad decision. But 5 team members decided they needed to get back to work because they can see the writing on the wall. Good for them.
The speech itself was pretty well represented by any one of the SOTU bingo cards that were on social media because Grandpa can only repeat the same 8 phrases over and over since his brain has become cottage cheese. What struck me was how much it revolved around violence and the military and how much Trump wants military honors for himself.
I remembered how he refused to go out into the rain in France because it wasn’t glory he could share in. And how he disparaged veterans, POWs, and service people who gave up their lives for this country, or at least what it could be. And so giving medals to people at the SOTU instead of giving them separate ceremonies so that their families and friends could all be there was Trump’s way of making it all about…him. Oh yes, these people did brave things but once the medals were quickly presented with zero pomp and/or circumstance all the attention immediately turned back to Donny Teavee. Just like it ought to be, amirite?
The fake sorrow that Trump mimed over the shootings of Sarah Beckstrom and Andrew Wolfe absolutely infuriated me. I have already said that this was a ghastly mistake on the part of the WV governor, but seeing that fucking coward essentially take credit for the service of those 2 young people was rage-inducing. But then Trump rolled around in the families’ grief, savoring it, tasting it, hoarding it for himself. It was the behavior of an abuser who hurt people because he loves to see pain.
And don’t worry, the WV Congressional delegation put on their sad faces and blah blahed on social media about how awful the situation was. But not one of them has apologized to the families for their refusal to stop Trump’s deployment. The extension of the West Virginia National Guard’s deployment until the end of the year—after they had already missed Thanksgiving and Christmas with their families—was presented as entirely voluntary, but no one believes it. And now the solemn medal ceremony has been shrunk to 4 minutes in the middle of President Grievance’s tardy Festivus ramblings.
Likewise he gloried in the gory details of all of the tragedies and heroic stories he told. It was like his private pornography stash. It was a lot of unnecessary detail and embellishment and it existed only because he imagined he was the one inflicting the pain. And it made the awful detail of the NPR story wholly believable. This is a degenerate who would definitely assault a child, and mostly because the child could not fight back.
And then the asshole declared that he was mad that he couldn’t receive the Congressional Medal of Honor himself. He was mad that he could steal so many things, but this was one thing that remained elusive. And you know that he has and still is trying to figure out how he can order the sad sack Republicans to give it to him.
Just prior to the speech MS NOW confirmed that the NPR story about the missing Epstein materials. And then during the speech CNN confirmed it too. Republican members of Congress no doubt saw those confirmations. They watched the doddering jackass diminish actual heroism and turn it into mirrors reflecting his still alive but nonetheless rotting corpse.
They all know that he’s a pedophile. They know that people in their own cabinet are in the Epstein files. They know Pam Bondi and Kash Patel are desperately trying to hide what is inevitably going to be revealed later this year. And they know that their plan to scare all of us into submission isn’t going to work.
And they sat there and applauded. They lined up to praise him afterward:
Rep. Troy Nehls, who is 57, begs Trump to sign his Trump-themed tie: "Initial it. Just an intial."
I’ll remember that.
I’ll leave you with this:
