Like you, I am absolutely furious about the bullshit Trump and his stupid administration are pulling. I am old enough to have been through the first iteration of the awful Republican nation-building exercise in the Middle East, and so far from what I’ve read it’s almost a word for word reboot. No fucking thanks.
It’s all a perfect storm of stupidity and hubris, which means that people are going to get hurt and die because the “war fighter” poser mentality doesn’t do things like planning, reconnaissance, or common sense. For example:
It’s great that the office had 6 foot fortifying walls—those are great as a defense against IEDs. But, you see, the Iranians dropped a bomb on the building via drone. Shouldn’t that gaping hole in the plan to protect an obvious target have been addressed beforehand?
On Tuesday the gangrenous ghoul in the White House seemed to have not planned for the possibility that no one on their Designated Survivor might survive the attacks:
Trump: "Most of the people we had in mind are dead. We had some in mind from that group that is dead. And now we have another group. They may be dead also. Pretty soon we're not gonna know anybody. I mean, Venezuela was so incredible because we did the attack and we kept govt totally in tact."
This haphazard, lazy, and criminal approach to fighting a war has already created an unbearable tragedy:
The death toll from a missile strike on a girls’ school in southern Iran has risen to 165, according to state media.
The IRNA news agency also cited a local prosecutor as saying that 96 people had been wounded in Saturday’s strike in Minab.
The strike on school appears to be the worst mass casualty event of the US-Israeli-led bombing campaign on Iran so far.
Video and photographs of the aftermath, which have been verified as authentic and geolocated to the site, show hundreds of people gathered around the partially collapsed and smoking building, with rubble strewn across the street and men digging through it for victims. Screams can be heard in the background. In some of the images, schoolbags and textbooks are being pulled from the debris.
Where is the wall-to-wall coverage of this tragedy on the news? Where is the call for accountability from the administration officials who green-lit this giant fuck up?
Asked about the deaths Monday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio told reporters that U.S. forces “would not deliberately target a school,” adding that the Defense Department “would be investigating that if that was our strike.”
Over the weekend, U.S. Central Command said it was looking into reports of civilian deaths. The Israeli military has so far declined to comment.
The school appeared to have been near an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, according to satellite video, which British broadcaster BBC News reported has previously been targeted.
Both the Minab official and the mother who spoke to NBC News said the school facility was built on a Revolutionary Guard base. The base closed around 15 years ago, and all military personnel were moved, although the school stayed open, they said.
Satellite imagery from 2011 appears to show the building as part of the same compound, before it was fenced off later.
Please note that Lil’ Marco didn’t deny that the US was responsible for this horror.
And the media is pretty much silent about this. I don’t understand the indifference around something so heart-breaking and immoral.
I’ll leave you with this (lyrics here):

Middle Eastern people only matter when Republicans kill them, is that it? The US gov’t also underwrites all of the horrific things Israel does on a daily basis. There are no sides in this matter. We’re all tainted.
