Man, that Bush is a slow learner.
After getting badly burned the last time he chose one of Rudy’s sphincter buddies for Secretary of Fatherland Security you’d think he would know better. And you would be wrong.
U.S. Attorney Rudolf Giuliani stands with his prosecutors, from left to right, John Savarese, Michael Chertoff, lead prosecutor, and Gil Childers on Jan. 13, 1987 in New York.
The preznit pointed out when he announced he had selected his man that Chertoff has been confirmed by the Senate three times.
Is it possible that Bush is assuming that Chertoff has been vetted three times and thus no one has to check him out again? If so, what skeletons might fall out of Mikey’s closet?
