Chimpy’s Hurricane Job Approval Rating? 35%

From Holden:

I won’t claim any livestock for this one:

Forty-two percent of Americans said US President George W. Bush has handled Hurricane Katrina badly while 35 percent thought he has performed well, according to a Gallup poll just published.

In the poll, 24 percent rated Bush’s response to the catastrophe as “terrible,” 18 percent as “bad,” 25 percent as “good” and 10 percent as “great.”

Bush’s ratings for his response reflected party affiliations, with 69 percent of Republicans giving him positive ratings, 66 percent of Democrats, negative ratings and independents leaning 47-29 percent to the negative side.
