BAGHDAD, June 16 (KUNA) — The Multi National Forces (MNF) in Iraq said Friday it opened an inquiry regarding the death of three individuals detained by MNF forces in Iraq.

General Peter Chiarelli, commander of multinational forces in Iraq, ordered a criminal investigation into the circumstances behind the death of the three detainees on the 9th of May, a US forces statement said.

The statement did not reveal other details related to the incident or the identities of the three dead.
