After Ellen collects Ellen’s Dog Drama vids, with comments. We lesbians do like to process our stuff:
I agree that begging for the dog to be returned on TV wasn’t the coolest move, because that’s a setup for death threats … because fans are morons sometimes, and if you make our happy comedian cry, we’ll shank you. — Emmanescence

Not like there’s much moral weight behind anything besides All For One and One For All. Some of us gets the shaft, we all get the shaft. Partial, compromised justice is not our cup of justice. That sort of thing. I’m sure some would say it’s more complicated than that. I’m not so sure it is.
My view of the whole shebang is that it’s compromise enough to be scaling back and asking for just employment protections and not full-blown civil rights protections, like what folks started to call for back when the ERA was a glimmer in the sisters’ eyes, back when it all was a movement, not a market. Pragmatism is reasonable. But tossing our kin overboard at this point is just ludicrous. And transgender folks are so, so lesbian and gay and bi people’s kin. Hatred of gender nonconformity is at the core of homophobia, and I think we all pretty much know that by now. If we don’t well then we ought to.

    Can I get aHell Yeah?

Fun illustrations from Ray Fenwick. You can even wallpaper your rooms with his work!

I found him through Subversive Cross Stitch, where he has a great glow-in-the-dark pattern up, just in time for Halloween and Louisiana’s elections!:

  7. I was so proud of Pete Stark for telling it like it is, and then Nancy Pelosi went and harshed my fucking mellow so bad, I had tocall her on it, which I did. And although I usually blogwhore just to hear the sound of my own virtual voice, this time I’m doing it For A Good Cause Goddammit. Pete Stark is getting shit from Pelosi and the other WATBs in the house who can’t bend over enough to give the bushitters cover, and it’s time to do something about it. I posted all the contact info. Please please please use the numbers and eaddies to let Nancy know it’s not OK to beat on Pete, and he has support.
