Maverick!

Damn, he’s soMavericky!

Since the late 1990s, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) has served on the board of the Montana-based Project Vote Smart (PVS), which presses candidates to fill out a survey on where they stand on key issues. Despite the fact that he he has filled out the survey since 1992, McCain now refuses to do so (“after nine months, 17 phone calls, and 8 emails” from PVS). The PVS board has voted to remove McCain by April 9 unless he fills out the test.

    he’s trying to hide now?

  2. …PVS shouldn’t be so hard on St. John the Maverick. He doesn’t really need to fill out some silly form to tell us where he stands on key issues. We already know:
Iraq – stay for a hundred years.
Economy – reduce unemployment by sending filers to Iraq for a hundred years.
Banking Crisis – induct speculators and subprime mortgage-holders into the military and send them to Iraq for a hundred years.
Health Care – free substandard V.A. services provided to everyone after a hundred years in Iraq.
See, we don’t need no steeekin’ survey!

I don’t get it, with YouTube it is easy to pull out videos of him standing on both sides of the issue. So what harm would a written record have beyond the flopping around on the video record?
