[David] Simon confirmed that HBO will film the first episode of “Treme,”
possibly sometime later this year. If HBO gives the green light for
more episodes, production would resume in 2009.

Yay!!! This time next week, I should be at least crossing the state line into Louisiana on my way to New Orleans!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 Just knowing that my trip is almost here…ahhhhhh.

On a somewhat related topic, there’s anoverdue and bittersweet update from the HopeInGrace.com pipples over at my little blog.
Gato, yeah, I received the e-mail about them the other day… And today, am streaming WWOZ on my puter, heard about the all-volunteer emergency response team via NOPD for the mentally ill in New Orleans…three years later – hospitals in the Nola area are STILL operating on emergency levels – not enough beds for anyone, let alone the mentally ill. Not enough meds, not enough food for patients…THREE YEARS ON!?!?!?!?!
The “powers that be” in DC really have kicked New Orleans and the region back to the dark ages.
