I took the Red Pill

Athenae asked me to offer an introduction of sorts prior to my first post. I’m Doc, frequent commenter, resident cynic and keeper of more sports stories than you can shake a stick at. I love college media, thoughtful dissent and higher education. I’ll be your Friday guest until A kicks me out. We’ll see how long that holds.

  4. Yes, I am a Doc, although a “doctor of paper” (Ph.D.) as one drunken family member of a former student once reminded me. I think they called me Doc, though, because Grumpy and Dopey were taken…
    A and I did time in Badgerville, so you’ll likely see an occasional hockey or Badger ref.

  5. I wished I loved college media – the local student rag has become a farm for right-wing Wurlitzer writing and editing. I have to resist the temptation every time I read it to blog and kick their puppies.
    I’m currently working as an IT administrator for a certain central Iowa state college.
