Today on Tommy T’s Obsession With The Freeperati – it just keeps getting better!

First up –“Karl Rove is a RINO! Who knew?”

Mr. Rove needs to find another party and another job. He called
the presidential race at 11:00 oclock in the afternoon for Obama. Give me a
break, He was the mastermnd of the pro-illegal alien strategy, he is no friend
of Republics. He needs to give it up and get lost.
He is the PAST failure, we

Edwards said Palin’s inexperience was too much for John
McCain’s campaign to overcome.
“The problem was, over time, particularly
in the vice presidential debate … it was fairly obvious she wasn’t ready to be
president, and that made people nervous,” he said.

Sounds likethe

continue the attempt to derail her future national aspirations.Very telling of

AP: Palinmania may stop Romney from

AP:
Palinmania may stop Romney from running in 2012
Eh. If there’s any truth to it, I’d sayAmbinder is a lot closer to the real reason than the AP
is.
The surprising ascendancy of McCain’s eventual pick, Alaska Gov. Sarah
Palin, and her popularity among some GOP conservatives have left Romney
wondering whether he could wage a viable second campaign for the White House,
according to friends and advisers…
“While (Palin) may not be popular with the
winning majority that Barack Obama put together, she’s enormously popular with
the losing minority that John McCain put together — and that pretty closely
mirrors Republican primary voters,” said Rich Bond, former chairman of the
Republican National Committee.
Charley Manning, a Massachusetts Republican
operative who has worked as a Romney adviser, recently told a local radio
interviewer: “I’d be surprised if Mitt ever ran again for president. I sure
don’t think it was the best experience of his life.”
Taking on the ‘Cuda is a
fool’s errand only if two things occur: (1) the economy recovers, leaving Mitt
without an obvious argument for why the base should prefer him to her, and (2)
Huckabee doesn’t run, thereby ceding social cons to Palin. Number one is
obviously more important than number two since a sustained crisis would give the
GOP a shot at the White House; absent that, I’m not sure why any Republican
would want to run in 2012, especially a guy like Mitt who had to eat a ton of
campaign debt this year and would probably end up on the hook for a ton more
trying to take down The One’s money machine.
For a guy who’s supposedly sour
on the idea, though, he sure seems to be making the right moves:

That’s where Palin comes in. She’ll gain much more poise,

consultants, teachers, and the internet), and just about then is when the dims

Supremacist propaganda is
already on the upswing. In Oklahoma, fringe groups have distributed anti-Obama

being reported from Maine to Alabama.

E.D. Hill To Leave Fox News Channel

TVNewser has learned veteran Fox News Channel anchor E.D. Hill will not be
renewed when her current contract expires. Hill, who has been with Fox News for
more than 10 years, will continue with the network for the next few months until
her current deal expires.
SVP of Programming Bill Shine tells TVNewser that
he “chose not to renew E.D.’s latest contract” but noted that “Hill has been a
valued contributor to the success of FNC over the years, and we wish her all the
best.”
Hill has been without a regular Fox News program since June 16, when
America’s Pulse was replaced by two hours of Live Desk. Ten days earlier Hill
used the term terrorist fist jab when promoting an upcoming body language
segment that was going to look into the primary night fist bump shared by Barack
and Michelle Obama.
For most of her nearly 11 years at FNC Hill anchored Fox
& Friends. In 2006 she moved to a late morning program then to the
afternoons where, in the months leading up to the election, she’d been filling
in on America’s Election HQ.

Bush Hands Over Reins of U.S. Economy
to EU

McGann

byRED SOUTH

The results of the G-20
economic summit amount to nothing less than the seamless integration of the
United States into the European economy.
In one month of legislation and one
diplomatic meeting, the United States has unilaterally abdicated all the gains
for the concept of free markets won by the Reagan administration and
surrendered, in total, to the Western European model of socialism, stagnation,
and excessive government regulation.
Sovereignty is out the window. Without
a vote, we are suddenly members of the European Union. Given the dismal record
of those nations at creating jobs and sustaining growth, merging with the
Europeans is like a partnership with death.
At the G-20 meeting, Bush agreed
to subject the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and our other regulatory
agencies to the supervision of a global entity that would critique its
regulatory standards and demand changes if it felt they were necessary. Bush
agreed to create a College of Supervisors.
According to The Washington Post,
it would “examine the books of major financial institutions that operate across
national borders so regulators could begin to have a more complete picture of
banks’ operations.”
Their scrutiny would extend to hedge funds and to
various “exotic” financial instruments. The International Monetary Fund (IMF), a
European-dominated operation, would conduct “regular vigorous reviews” of
American financial institutions and practices.
The European-dominated
College of Supervisors would also weigh in on issues like executive compensation
and investment practices.
There is nothing wrong with the substance of this
regulation.
Experience is showing it is needed. But it is very wrong to
delegate these powers to unelected, international institutions with no political
accountability.
We have a Securities and Exchange Commission appointed by
the president and confirmed by the Senate, both of whom are elected by the
American people. It is with the SEC, the Treasury, and the Federal Reserve that
financial accountability must take place.
The European Union achieved this
massive subrogation of American sovereignty the way it usually does, by
negotiation, gradual bureaucratic encroachment, and without asking the voters if
they approve.
What’s more, Bush appears to have gone down without a fight,
saving his debating time for arguing against the protectionism that France’s
Nicolas Sarkozy was pushing.
By giving Bush a seeming victory on a
moratorium against protectionism for one year, Sarkozy was able to slip over his
massive scheme for taking over the supervision of the U.S. economy.
All
kinds of political agendas are advancing under the cover of responding to the
global financial crisis.
Where Franklin Roosevelt saved capitalism by
regulating it, Bush, to say nothing of Obama, has given the government control
over our major financial and insurance institutions. And it isn’t even our
government!
The power has now been transferred to the international
community, led by the socialists in the European Union. Will Obama govern from
the left? He doesn’t have to.
George W. Bush has done all the heavy lifting
for him. It was under Bush that the government basically took over as the chief
stockholder of our financial institutions and under Bush that we ceded our
financial controls to the European Union.
In doing so, he has done nothing
to preserve what differentiates the vibrant American economy from those dying
economies in Europe.
Why have 80 percent of the jobs that have been created
since 1980 in the industrialized world been created in the United States? How
has America managed to retain its leading 24 percent share of global
manufacturing even in the face of the Chinese surge?
How has the U.S. GDP
risen so high that it essentially equals that of the European Union, whose
population is 50 percent greater?
It has done so by an absence of stifling
regulation, a liberation of capital to flow to innovative businesses, low taxes,
and by a low level of unionization that has given business the flexibility to
grow and prosper.
Europe, stagnated by taxation and regulation, has grown by
a pittance while we have roared ahead. But now Bush — not Obama — Bush has given
that all up and caved in to European socialists.
The Bush legacy? European
socialism. Who needs enemies with friends like Bush?

You know, I’ve been hearing this apochrypal crap ever since they lost, and I’m calling bullshit.

Usually this story ends with the small business owner scuttling his own business because he won’t be able to afford the new taxes each of them will have to bear (presumably, they all net more than $500,000 per year). Sometimes I hear the variant that they cut costs by only laying off people who voted for Obama (as if someone who worked for a Freeper would tellhim of all people such a piece of information).

It’s all bullshit.
Unless your “small business” is, say, Tiffany’s, you’re not going to be able to just shut down your business and take your marbles home with you. Any small business involves leases, contracts, equipment, loans, etc, etc
.
The only time you get to walk away from those is when you go into receivership.
Nor does anyone here explain how their friend of a friend of a friend who is doing this proposes to eat, pay rent, put food on their family, or make their car payments
.
Ifonly one of these apochrypal stories had evern a single bit of actual verifiable info (such as the name of the company, the name of the future John Galt impersonator), there might be a bit of credence associated with these tales of woe.
But there never is, so BULLSHIT, I says!

And of course, as usual, there has to be one threadkiller:

To: Bill Dupray
This economic crisis has nothing to do with the Obama election.
Those that say it does are just spreading political pablum that will end up
hurting those that feed on it. This economic crisis is a direct result of a very
powerful financial instrument that wasn’t fully regression tested – called
Credit Default Swaps.
The exposure to CDS contracts has brought down the
economies of the world, and we’re just getting started.
U.S. Presidents –
past, present, or future are powerless to stop it. It has to play itself out.

Congress is just standing in the path of a runaway train. They need to let
insolvent corporations go bankrupt. They’re just prolonging the financial agony
for all Americans.
