Oh, Please

Nancy Pelosi has a Republican opponent whose name I refuse to remember. He has no chance. It’s one of the safest and most Democratic seats in the country. But he’s posted a deeply obnoxious interweb ad depicting the Speaker as-surprise, surprise-the Wicked Witch of the West from theWizard Of Oz. The sub-text is that *those* people still worship Judy Garland and yadda, yadda, yadda. Yawn.

Does anyone think people will give this bozo any money? Even in 2010, he’ll be lucky to get 30% of the vote. Oh well, at least he’s proving that he has his “man-pants” on. I will be so glad when this nasty election cycle is over. I hate off-year elections and ads like this are one reason:

I wish the Dems would stand up to this crapola and say “Yeah, what else do you have? Any actual ideas on PROGRESS, ideas on GETTING US OUTTA THE HOLE YOUR DEAR LEADER BUSH GOT US INTO? Or just juvenile, badly executed elementary slurs??? No? I thought as much. Let’s leave the losers in the dust and get America back on track!!!”

a resident in our neighborhood has a “Fire Pelosi” sign in his yard next to the Rick Perry for TX Guv sign. The neat thing is both of his immediate neighbors have Bill White for Guv signs in their yards.

  4. Yeah on the neighbors! 🙂 C’mon Bill – he can only do good things for Texas after Slick Rick is evicted!

On the video commentary, I thought it was the repubs who worshiped films and TV made in the 50s.
I also see that this is one of two threads on repub dirty tricks. Of course, J Edgar, without his cross-dress, would just happen to let it slip that he had prook King was a communist. Yet the dirty tricks continue to work. McCain got blasted in SC by a “poll” asking if you would vote for him if he had an interracial child – then McCain 2008 turned around and hired the same polling firm for his campaign.
When is someone going to develop a defense against this?
