basil prefers to take up more space.
The degree to which a cat curls up is directly dependent on the room temperature. In 100 degree weather, they will be completely uncurled and stretched to their maximum length. In zero degree weather, they will be curled into the tightest ball possible.
This was a chilly but not frigid evening. Last night Oscar was curled up like a king cake.

Are y’all going to be home this weekend? I’m staying about 4 blocks from your place. If I can score a job, this is where I will live until I get my own digs. I’ll be here for Mardi Gras, even if the job situation hasn’t panned out yet.
