“Another birther controversy could be brewing for 2016,” MSNBC host
Chuck Todd informed on Monday. Though this time aimed at a Republican: Sen. Ted
Cruz (R-TX), who was born in Canada. While Cruz likely doesn’t face any real
eligibility problems, Todd acknowledged, “questions are being asked.”

Snip~

How exactly is “natural-born citizen” defined? Since Cruz’s mother
was born in the U.S. and his father became a citizen in 2005, Todd explained,
going on to list similar scrutiny faced by President Obama, George Romney, and
John McCain.

“The legal evidence seems to side with Cruz,” Todd argued, “but
there is a grey area, and that may be all his opponents need.”

“It’s pretty clear that he qualifies as natural born,” Peter Spiro,
a professor at Temple University, stated in response to Todd’s earlier question
about how the term is defined. To clarify, Todd summed up: “If you are born to
U.S. citizens abroad, no matter where, if they are U.S. citizens, if…one of your
parents is a U.S. citizen — then that should qualify as natural born.”

***************

Not one word mentioned about two U.S. citizen parents
creating their offspring ‘sole allegiance’ to the United States.

This issue is a classic leftist triangulation strategy to get those
of us on the right to fight among ourselves so that the next Democrat nominee
can run against the weakest, most wishy-washy Republican. It has already worked
twice in the nominations of McCain and Romney.
Anything that
divides and discourages some conservatives is to the benefit of
liberalism.

Rich Manhattan moms hire handicapped
tour guides so kids can cut lines at Disney World
NY Post ^| 5/14/13 | TARA PALMERI

They are 1 percenters who are 100 percent despicable.

Some wealthy Manhattan moms have figured out a way to cut the long
lines at Disney World —by hiring disabled people to pose as family members so
they and their kids can jump to the front, The Post has learned.

… “black-market Disney guides” run $130 an hour, or $1,040 for an
eight-hour day.

“My daughter waited one minute to get on ‘It’s a Small World’ —the
other kids had to wait 2 1/2 hours,” crowed one mom, who hired a disabled guide
through Dream Tours Florida.

“You can’t go to Disney without a tour concierge,’ she sniffed.
“This is how the 1 percent does Disney.”

The woman said she hired a Dream Tours guide to escort her, her
husband and their 1-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter through the park in a
motorized scooter with a “handicapped” sign on it. The group was sent straight
to an auxiliary entrance at the front of each attraction.

********************************************************************************

Manhattan moms in the 1% are Obama donors and voters.

Ma’am, the 1 percent doesn’t do Disney. If you
have maxed out your credit cards, drive a car you can’t afford, and live in a
house you can’t afford, this is something else you can waste money on.

What a concept.

I don’t see anything wrong with this. “I’m handicapped and I’m
being exploited by being paid $1000 a day.” Who’s exploiting who. Besides, the
story is just more hate the rich propaganda.

Disney World went PC years ago.

I was leaving Orlando in 2003 & tuned in a local talk radio
show just as the host in a Cuban accent was practically screaming, “This is Gay
Pride week at Disney World so don’t you be takin’ your kids there!! The place is
full of maricones I mean queers all this whole week! You don’t want your
children seeing anything like that so stay away from Disney World!”

It really was Gay Pride at DW as CNN covered it and the visuals
were not for the faint of heart.

Capitalism does not always equal moral. Selling your sister to the
highest bidder is capitalism but is also wrong. Using someone’s handicap to get
yourself special privileges and then bragging about it is a D***hbag
move.

This is chump change to these people. These are the
ultra rich billionaires. These people spend $35k-50k to send their kids to “the
right” day care and private elementary school. Their high school kids go to
places like Exeter Academy, wear blue blazers and spend more on high school than
most people spend on college. They then attend Harvard, Princeton or Yale, but
not Dartmouth. They fly on private planes. They have multiple houses. They
vacation in Aspen and own islands in the Caribbean. Read the book “The Nanny
Diaries”. Many of these people are not new money. They were born rich. They live
on the upper east side. They never go over to the upper west side where the new
rich live.

CNN Poll: Have new controversies hurt
Obama? Has GOP overreacted?

CNN ^| May 19, 2013

Posted on Sunday, May 19, 2013 1:04:49 PM by Pinkbell

Washington (CNN) – President Barack Obama comes out of what was
arguably the worst week of his presidency with his approval rating holding
steady, according to a new national poll.

But a CNN/ORC International survey released Sunday morning also
indicates that congressional Republicans are not overplaying their hand when it
comes to their reaction to the three controversies that have consumed the
nation’s capital over the past week and a half. And the poll finds that a
majority of Americans take all three issues seriously.

According to the survey, which was conducted Friday and Saturday,
53% of Americans say they approve of the job the president is doing, with 45%
saying they disapprove. The president’s approval rating was at 51% in CNN’s last
poll, which was conducted in early April.

“That two-point difference is well within the poll’s sampling error,
so it is a mistake to characterize it as a gain for the president,” says CNN
Polling Director Keating Holland. “Nonetheless, an approval rating that has not
dropped and remains over 50% will probably be taken as good news by Democrats
after the events of the last week.”

The CNN poll is in-line with Gallup, which also indicated a very
slight rise in Obama’s approval rating over the same time period. And Gallup’s
daily tracking poll also indicated a slight upward movement of Obama’s approval
rating over the past week. But as with the CNN poll, it was within that survey’s
sampling error.

************************************

I find it disheartening that he can still be over 50% with the
disaster that is going on.

There is some good stuff in the poll results that a majority
disagree with the IRS, aren’t satisfied with how Benghazi was handled, believe
the Benghazi attack could have been prevented, disagree with the phone tapping,
and don’t believe the Republicans have overplayed their hands.

That said, I find some disheartening answers that show people still
believe Obama is innocent in all this. I find it disheartening that:

~But more than six in 10 say that the president’s statements about
the IRS scandal are completely or mostly true, with 35% not agreeing with
Obama’s characterizations. And 55% say that IRS acted on its own, with 37%
saying that White House ordered the IRS to target tea party and other
conservative groups.

Seriously?!!

That’s because the Obama majority has ZERO interest in anything

I wonder to Commies like CNN, what would Obama have to do to really
piss them off..what would get them outraged..murder..that’s already been
done..trampling on the Constitution, that’s already been done..spying on their
phone calls, that’s already been done..Hey, if Obama killed one of their mamma’s
would they be outraged then, or just find a way to blame a Republican for it
This poll, even though it came from the Commie News Network, probably
does have some validity to it, look at the idiots who re-elected Obama, they are
MORONS..as long as they get their welfare and food stamps they are happy..they
could care less who Obama has killed or what he does at the IRS to target
Conservatives, as long as they can get their free iPhones and Govt goodies they
are super satisfied

Am I shallow for being fascinated by max americana’s quote “fired liberals in our company after the election, & laughed while they cried (true story)”. It’s like the second-shortest story in the world (the shortest being “Baby shoes for sale: never worn”). And it’s twue, weally twue!
I looked up max amwricana on FR & he did indeed claim after Nov. 6 that he had hired a liberal so that he could fire him after Obama won.
No explanation of how he knew the employee was a liberal or what he intended to do if Mitt won (fire the guy anyway?) but then no-one asked those questions.
But Freepers aren’t interested in those little details anyway. Facts and awkward questions just interfere with their fantasies.

What a fascinating guy. Although we still don’t know whether he actually fired his liberal employee(s) or whether in fact he has any employees at all, despite his claims to be a Hollywood big shot.
Judging from a sample of his oeuvre at FR he is a virulent homophobe. I would imagine someone like him would find it extremely hard to conceal this, so I would guess despite that his boasts he doesn’t have a job anywhere in the entertainment business.
I must admit that I had fun perusing the DK site anyway, particularly this response from one disgruntled loser (not our friend max) who claims that whenever he shops:
I will fill my shopping basket to the brim with stuff. If it is a small business shop owned by one local owner, and this owner is at the cash register, I will ask them in a very stone, neutral, non-commital face, “hey so, like, what do you think of this Obamacare anyway?”
and when he gets the wrong answer, he will dump the basket on the counter and stomp out.
Aside from wondering how Mr. Dis-satisfied Shopper can tell that the person behind the counter is the owner, I’m inclined to ask what he thinks will happen after he has done this a few times. Unless he has unlimited shopping choices in his part of towm he’ll soon wear out his welcome in his neighbourhood. Does it not occur to him that word will get around that he’s the a-hole who’s making shopkeepers put his basket of un-purchased goodies back on the shelf?

  5. Tommy T says:

    Mary – good question.
    Kibitzer – you’ve been missed.
