Album Cover Art Wednesday: Vagabonds Of The Western World

I just finished reading Fintan O’Toole’s marvelous personal history of Ireland, We Don’t Know Ourselves. He mentioned the importance of Thin Lizzy’s 1973 album Vagabonds Of The Western World to him as a young man. Hence this week’s cover.

I dig Jim Fitzpatick’s cover. FYI, he’s the artist who came up with the Che Guevara image that was plastered on everything in the late Sixties and early Seventies.

The album is as cool as its cover. Here’s the whole damn thing via the YouTube.
