The Tucker Carlson dirt mound gets higher every day. Perhaps I should call it a burial mound.
There’s been much discussion as to whether the latest Carlson revelation is THE CAUSE of his sacking. It’s terrible but the Fox board knew he was a racist years ago. The quote that has sickened all decent people is likely a factor in the firing but not THE CAUSE.
The MSM is always searching for facile and simplistic explanations, even the fictional media in movies such as Citizen Kane. Remember how the newsreel reporters thought that one thing explained Charles Foster Kane, ROSEBUD:
They burned Rosebud at the end of Citizen Kane. Tucker Carlson and his ilk want to burn down the country.
Let’s return to the post title and the sickening quote obtained by the NYT:
A couple of weeks ago, I was watching video of people fighting on the street in Washington. A group of Trump guys surrounded an Antifa kid and started pounding the living shit out of him. It was three against one, at least. Jumping a guy like that is dishonorable obviously. It’s not how white men fight. Yet suddenly I found myself rooting for the mob against the man, hoping they’d hit him harder, kill him. I really wanted them to hurt the kid. I could taste it. Then somewhere deep in my brain, an alarm went off: this isn’t good for me. I’m becoming something I don’t want to be. The Antifa creep is a human being. Much as I despise what he says and does, much as I’m sure I’d hate him personally if I knew him, I shouldn’t gloat over his suffering. I should be bothered by it. I should remember that somewhere somebody probably loves this kid, and would be crushed if he was killed. If I don’t care about those things, if I reduce people to their politics, how am I better than he is?”
It’s not how white men fight, Tucker? Only a white supremacist would make such a statement. White supremacy is inherently dishonorable.
How do white men fight? That’s not a rhetorical question, it’s a question for the ages. It bears repeating: How do white men fight?
Adolf Hitler was white. He specialized in lying, sneak attacks, and genocide. Is that how white men fight? Sounds dishonorable to me.
Vladimir Putin is white. His minions have turned Ukraine into a slaughterhouse, but Tucker Carlson lionizes him. Is that how white men fight? Sounds dishonorable to me.
Those are extreme examples. Let’s move closer to home.
Gen. Phil Sheridan was white. He’s best known for one quote:
That was how *that* white man fought. The Sheridan misquote is even worse: “The only good Indian is a dead Indian.” Dishonorable either way.
Charles Manson was white. He was a coward who let others do his fighting and killing for him. Is that how white men fight? Sounds dishonorable to me.
Timothy McVeigh was white. He was a domestic terrorist whose bomb murdered children. Is that how white men fight? Sounds dishonorable to me.
Gym Jordan is white. He is a coward who slanders his opponents and hides behind Congressional immunity. Is that how white men fight? Sounds dishonorable to me.
Rudy Giuliani is white. He is a coward posing as the hero of 9/11. He was one of those who incited the Dipshit Insurrection. Is that how white men fight? Sounds dishonorable to me.
Donald Trump is white. He fights with his mouth and incites others to do his dirty work. Is that how white men fight? Sounds dishonorable to me.
Tucker Carlson is white. All the cliches about white privilege and entitlement apply to him. He, too, fights with his mouth and incites others to violence. Is that how white men fight? Sounds dishonorable to me.
We all knew how horrible Tucker Carlson is. It’s been obvious to everyone with an ounce of decency since he became a media sensation. The arrogance, bigotry, and white supremacy aren’t just an act for his viewers, it’s who he is.
The good news is that few people are willing to follow Tucker Carlson off the cliff. The bad news is that there *are* some who will. Is that how white men fight? Sounds dishonorable to me.
The last word goes to Pete Townshend:
Well, we can add the Fort Pillow Massacre, the destruction of Tulsa, Rosewood, and numerous other black communities, lynch mobs in general, and get a pretty good picture of how white men fight.
And the list goes on and on and on.
ad infinitum ad nauseum
Officers Harry Dunn, Aquilino Gonell, Michael Fanone, and Daniel Hodges can tell us how white men fight.
