The Dukes Of September are a 21st Century super group featuring Donald Fagen of Steely Dan, Boz Scaggs, and Michael McDonald of the fine band with a dumb name. The three have come together several times over the years. This 2010 show from the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA is one of those times.

The set list relies heavily on covers; among the standouts are Love Train, Help Me, Rhonda, and Shakedown Street. Fagen transforms the Grateful Dead tune into a typically louche Steely Dan song. Did this inspire the cover band, Steely Dead?
