Details about this performance are sketchy hence the question mark in the title. I’m not sure where it was staged or even if it was filmed in 1962 as it’s in color. Most Satchmo clips are in black and white and color broadcasts were rare until the mid-Sixties.

Is it a movie short or a colorized video? All I’m certain of is that it’s an excellent 23 minute performance. If anyone knows more, please leave a comment.
