If it’s Tuesday, it must be the fifth installment in the weekly series inspired by the 1991 Duke-Edwards Gret Stet governor’s race. It was the most intense electoral experience of my life; formative too, it gave me an intense dislike of all forms of extremism.

The featured image shows the aftermath of the 2017 push seen round the world. Then President* Pennywise shoved Montenegrin Prime Dusko Markovic out of the way, so he could have a better spot in a group picture of NATO leaders. I am not making this up. Here’s the proof:
Notice the coat tug and the Mussolini style head cock. The whole thing was an act of dominance showing Trump’s disdain for NATO, especially the smaller nations that he regards as “shithole countries.”

It was a shove, y’all. This walk down bad memory lane has given me an earworm:
It’s a mystery as to why the Indicted Impeached Insult Comedian hates NATO so much. NATO brought France and Germany together and has kept the peace in Western Europe since its establishment in 1949. NATO is one of America’s most important foreign policy achievements, but Trump disrupted it during his first term and will try to destroy it should he return to office. Isolationism sounds good in the abstract, but it sucks in the real world.
Before NATO, there was chaos in Europe as two major wars were waged between 1914 and 1945 leading to 12 years of slaughter. Of course, violence and disorder are Donald Trump’s jam. That’s why I call him the Kaiser of Chaos.
I’ll cover Trump’s Putin love and Ukraine hate in a later post in the series. Suffice it to say, Trump loves dictators and hates institutions. When he sees an institution, he wants to burn it down just for the hell of it.
