If Tropical Storm soon to be Hurricane Francine were human, it would be guilty of procrastination. It sat off the coast of Mexico for a week before moving. It looks like it’s going to be a fast moving Cat-1 Hurricane. It will be a pain in the ass, not life threatening.
The wind should be the main problem, not rain. That’s not necessarily a good thing: wind events tend to knock out power. I’m expecting to lose power some time tomorrow, which means my output will be less than usual. It could be a quiet weekend at First Draft.
The good news is that I was able to have my iron infusion treatment this afternoon. Thanks to the folks at University Medical Center for squeezing me in.
If I’m feeling up to it, I hope to post an instant analysis of the Harris-Trump joint press availability. If they can’t ask each other questions, it’s not a debate as far as I’m concerned.
Hopefully, our power outage will be short unlike after Hurricane Ida, which dragged on for 10 days. The local weather people have compared this system to Hurricane Zeta, which came and went in a hurry. Let’s hope they’re right: we didn’t lose power when Zeta came to town.
I’ll check in again in the not too distant future. I just didn’t want anyone to suffer Adrastos withdrawal symptoms. I know that’s not a thing, but it was fun typing that. It’s been a long day: I’ll take my fun wherever I can get it.
