I’ve been on a break from the news for a few weeks, and now that I’m paying attention again, what a shitshow I’ve come back to. But there’s one story I want to highlight first.

You probably know that in Ohio a barely sentient pile of horseshit named Bernie Moreno is challenging Sherrod Brown for his Senate seat. And given that MAGAts run the GOP these days, you know he’s a real piece of work.

And you will remember that the MAGAts now are obsessed with the reproductive systems of women. They don’t understand the reproductive systems of women—let’s get that clear:

Dr. Julie Madsen, a physician who said she has provided various telemedicine services in Idaho, was testifying in opposition to the bill. She said some colonoscopy patients may swallow a small device to give doctors a closer look at parts of their colon. One such device, known as a PillCam, has been successfully used after research studies including one at Stanford University in 2008.

“Can this same procedure then be done in a pregnancy? Swallowing a camera and helping the doctor determine what the situation is?” Barbieri asked.

Madsen replied that would be impossible because swallowed pills do not end up in the vagina.

“Fascinating. That makes sense,” Barbieri said, amid the crowd’s laughter.

But they’re obsessed with them nonetheless.

Moreno’s GOP counterpart in Ohio, the uncomfortably weird couch fucker JD Vance, has already treated us to several analysis sessions of how much he hates his life and lives in envy of women without children. But, ever up for a stupidity challenge, Moreno had this to say when he thought he was in a safe place:

Republican U.S. Senate nominee Bernie Moreno, during a recent campaign stop, said it’s “a little crazy” that many suburban women vote based on abortion rights, and he questioned why women over the age of 50 care about abortion at all.

“You know, the left has a lot of single-issue voters,” Moreno said during a town-hall meeting in Warren County on Friday, according to a recording obtained by cleveland.com/The Plain Dealer. “Sadly, by the way, there’s a lot of suburban women, a lot of suburban women that are like, ‘Listen, abortion’s it. If I can’t have an abortion in this country whenever I want, I will vote for anybody else.’”

Moreno continued: “It’s a little crazy, by the way, but, especially for women that are like past 50, I’m thinking to myself, ‘I don’t think that’s an issue for you.’”

As members of the audience laughed, Moreno added, “Oh, thank God my wife didn’t hear that one. I’d get in trouble.”

And here Moreno gives away the whole game.

I could not, for the life of me, figure out why the GOP learned nothing from the backlash against Dobbs in 2022. And this week, Moreno handed us the answer.

See, MAGAts don’t see any value to women who never had children, chose never to have children, were unable to conceive, or are now past fertility, and they think that that that is how those of us in those groups feel about ourselves. MAGAts think we hate ourselves and our lives, just like they hate people without children because they themselves are jealous of people who never had children.

The fact that we don’t hate ourselves, or women with children, explains why they have only gotten worse on abortion restrictions, abortion chest beating, and disparaging comments about childless women. MAGAts don’t understand that we value ourselves and so we care about attacks on body autonomy and our civil rights.

What they also don’t understand is that women who remember living in a world without Roe are going to fight like hell so another generation doesn’t have to go through that.

MAGAts are in for a surprise in November.
