Other than coming from around the same time, the featured image has nothing to do with the show I’m posting. I slapped it on this week’s SMV because I dig the picture, which comes from the same photo session as the cover of John Hiatt’s Dirty Jeans and Mudslide Hymns album. The desolation fits this wintry moment like a tattered glove.

The video itself comes from a 2012 set performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam. The festival has posted a veritable plethora of shows on the YouTube. There will be more to come.
