The Musk wilding continues. It’s reached the point where Republican politicians are feeling the pain. Getting booed by their own voters at town hall meetings is the least they deserve for appeasing the Kaiser of Chaos since 2016. How do they sleep?
That goes for the right-wing SCOTUS majority. The seeds of our potential national destruction were planted last summer in what I call the Immunity Impunity ruling. They gave a green light to criminal presidents to violate the law in broad daylight. It led to the Musk fueled madness we’re experiencing right now. Thanks, Supremes. #sarcasm
John Roberts’ majority opinion was not only incoherent and vague, it didn’t even have the intellectual honesty to overrule the unanimous 1974 Nixon tapes case. Instead, they agreed with this infamous Tricky Dick quote from the Frost interviews:
I was irked while researching this post to see some anti-Dobbs protesters waving the heads of Justices Kagan, Sotomayor, and Breyer along with the guilty justices. I realize that liberals can’t count but this is ridiculous. Low information voters are everywhere, not just on the right.
I’m equally vexed to still see the extremist right-wing justices called conservatives. Ain’t nothing conservative about any of this. Nixon appointed former Chief Justice Warren Burger was a political hack, but he looks like a statesman compared to the Dobbs/Immunity Six.
Genuine conservatives value order, stability, and precedent, none of which are respected by the current SCOTUS majority or the Trumpified GOP. They’re right-wing radicals without respect for the constitution or the rule of law.
I keep harping on this point because conservative is a positive word to many Americans. The misuse of this word gives MAGA maggots cover to take a chainsaw to the rule of law and remake it in Reich Chancellor Musk’s fascistic image. A private citizen should not have this much power. Instead, he should be kicked in his private parts by everyone he’s wronged since January 20th. The line is long.
Repeat after me: Don’t call them conservatives.
Legal conservatives once respected precedent. The current court does not. They make William Rehnquist look like William Brennan. That’s how extreme this majority is. They’re not lawyers, they’re destroyers.
I’m waiting for the SCOTUS retirement shoe to drop. Clarence Thomas is for sale, so I expect Harlan Crow or some other wealthy wingnut to finance a cushy retirement so President Pennywise can appoint an extremist replacement. The same goes for Sam The Sham Alito.
My first substantive post after the Roberts Court’s Immunity Impunity decision was called Trump Found His Roy Cohn. Come on down, John Roberts. By all accounts, the Chief Justice was shocked by the reaction to the decision. How little Roberts understands half of his own country: Crowning a monarch by judicial fiat was fated to be scorned by thinking Americans. John Roberts cast his fate with militant MAGA morons.
When the history of our era is written, the Dobbs/Immunity Six will bear a share of the blame for the lunacy of Trump Regime Mach-Two. They gave the MAGA maggots a green light to plunge our country into Trumpist madness.

I’m so enjoying your Blog. I’m non-partisan and Partisan Politics have always annoyed me, way too Tribal and inclined to put Party over Country instead of just choosing a good Candidate regardless of Label affixed. But, Yes, Conservative is not a dirty word if one truly is a Conservative. Which, the ReTrumplican Party hijacked and then obliterated and there’s nothing Conservative about Extremism. I used to be able to see logic on both sides of the Aisle, whether Conservative or Liberal leaning. I’m a Moderate Independent, so we’d never get a Winning Candidate even on the Ballot, but, I used to not be opposed to any Candidate that had legitimate Leadership qualities. But what we have now is unhinged, probably has Dementia, has always been a consummate Conman, convicted Felon, Sexual Predator and not just a Fascist, but a Traitor and has commit Espionage and Treason with no shame. He’s running the Long Con effectively. Yet, far too many Americans are Fine with all of that and so here we now are. America is in serious trouble… I’m not even Guardedly Optimistic.
