Late Monday night the Washington Post dropped an amazing story about President Grievance’s immaturity and senility-enhanced temper forcing everyone traveling with him to Turkey back in July to use the highly compromised Bribe Force One because everyone is sick of his tantrums which sparked a serious concern for his safety and necessitated some cloak and dagger stuff to get him safely out of the country (gift link to the original story).

I mean, that’s not what the story said exactly, but it is the truth as we all know it.

The cloak and dagger stuff included stuffing President Grievance into a catering cart which was a creative prompt all patriotic Americans understood:

It’s no surprise that Trump is a selfish asshole who doesn’t give a damn about anyone but himself. But I am still finding it difficult to believe that he willingly put people in danger by deliberately withholding information that could have led to their deaths:

After a NATO summit in Turkey , Trump stowed away in an airport catering container to slip into another plane while Air Force One — filled with White House officials, security and support staff, and reporters — was sent into the sky essentially as a decoy, just in case Iran made good on a credible threat of an attack.

Upon stopping in Britain, Trump sneaked back aboard the presidential plane undetected and scoffed when asked about potential danger.

“If I go, you go. Right?” he told reporters — gliding past the fact that if the plane had been shot down, the president wouldn’t have been aboard.

Right? It’s shocking—there’s no other way to say it. And it’s got to be impeachable, right? I mean if we still lived in a world where rules and norms were upheld. The same person who shook his fist after the shooting in Butler, PA hid and used unsuspecting people as human shields.

And when Trump was asked that question, he just made more shit up:

Trump knows we hate him. He knows that whenever he dies there is going to be a massive, worldwide party. And he hates us back and doesn’t care what happens to us. I touched on this a little on Tuesday .

For one thing, there is an ongoing public health issue in that a mass distributor of food is producing and still selling food that is making people sick. The administration tried to sweep it all under the rug, removing all blame from Taylor Foods and vaguely pinning the responsible on Taco Bell. Except now there are more contaminated Taylor Farms products. OK so it’s 2 products and so not a big deal, right? Well, there’s also this:

Inspections began to decline early in the administration, after 65% of the staff in the FDA divisions responsible for coordinating travel and budgets left or were fired in the name of government efficiency.

Investigators suddenly had to book their own flights and hotels, obtain diplomatic passports and visas, and coordinate with foreign authorities, former and current FDA staffers told ProPublica. After workers tasked with processing expenses were laid off, investigators waited as a backlog of unfulfilled reimbursements climbed to more than $1 million, a former staffer said. (Investigators are responsible for paying off their own credit cards.) Senior investigators close to retirement also took the opportunity to get out.

Played out on a large scale, this combination of firings and voluntary departures has left the agency scrambling to make up for the loss of 1 out of every 5 of its workers responsible for ensuring the safety of America’s food and drugs.

And then on Monday, Trump signed yet another executive order, this time addressing his weird obsession with kids and vaccines. Here’s are some of his lies:

• Trump misleadingly claimed that the changes to the vaccine schedule align the U.S. with peer nations. When counting diseases the schedule protects against, the ]changes would put the U.S. at the low end of peer nations in the size of its vaccine schedule, exceeding only Denmark. [deletia
•  The president falsely claimed that the U.S. requires “72 jabs for our beautiful, healthy, lovely, delicate little children.” States require certain vaccinations to attend school, but none come close to mandating 72 doses. And there are no federal vaccine mandates. [deletia]
• He falsely claimed that children and infants are being injected with massive volumes of fluid during routine immunizations, referring at one point to “vats of vaccine.” Doses of childhood vaccines are generally about a tenth of a teaspoon, and there’s no evidence that the size or number of doses under the current vaccination schedule is harmful.

When you look at these things together, it’s clear that Trump doesn’t care about any of us and is in fact content to let you or your children die from preventable diseases, food-borne illness, and/or terrorism. This is not great.
