Bush’s Medicare Prescription Drug Plan is Failing

From Holden:

The Bush adminstration broke the law and lied to congress in order to get their Medicare prescription drug plan through. So far a little more than half of the people they thought would sign up for the plan have.

Now Medicare administrator Mark McClellan (yes, he’s Little Scottie’s brother) is sending out cards to 1.8 million low-income seniors who haven’t singed up yet in order to boost the program.

In another sign of desperation, GOP lobbying firm DCI Group is offering $3,750 plus expenses to any senior who will publicly endorse the program.

What a bunch of losers.
