Friday Ferretblogging: Endangered Ferret Edition

Mr. A is on the road with the FerretCam, so today you get thisNPR story about endangered black-footed ferrets.

“We had this thing called Robo-Badger. It was this mechanized badger that we would drive around the pens to try and scare the ferrets,” says Marinari. “And, you know, when the ferrets started riding on the back of the badger, we kind of thought, ‘Well, let’s move to something else…'”

Adopt an endangered, badger-riding black-footed ferret!

  1. Thank you so much for the first laugh on this bleak, nasty morning in post-Constitutional America… That quote just made my day.
And when the coffee had been wiped off the keyboard I wondered… could we endangered liberals try the same sort of thing? Ignore the scary Robo-Neocon’s and their noises, jump on their backs, and take a joy ride? Just a thought.

  2. How could I say no to a badger-riding ferret named Legolas??!
I heard the report earlier in the week, and am glad for the reminder so I could participate.
    Thanks, A.

  3. Athenae,
Thanks. I blogged a response to your earlier post. I don’t think you’ll ever know what it meant to me.

  4. i wish i had money so i could adopt a dozen.
fucking humans. why do we have to save THEM? and the cattle they eat?

  5. I heard it on the radio and nearly drove off the road, I was laughing so hard. That’s totally what ferrets do. “Oooh, big mean scary thing? Let’s play with it! Hurray! Party time!”
    I want a Robo-Badger for my house.

  6. Oh yes cannot resist the black legged cuties must adopt now.
I couldn’t choose so I adopted them all.
Oh – that brought the only smile to my day.
Thank you for making me feel better!
