I like to think that Ripon and the School House was the birthplace of the party that put Abe Lincoln in the White House, and that they ahve little to do with the evil that goes by the name “Republican” today.
As such, seeing the School House looking like that saddens me.

I grew up there; Xavier High ’75; my dad Pat (and his former partner Frank) used to own Frank’s Pizza (used to be Frank and Pat’s) on College Ave.
I moved to LA in ’83, but get back to Appleton twice a year.
